This was a fun read and had a lesson about taking control of your life. Not earth-shattering but fun to read.
I liked the foodie element in this novel even though it's not dug very deeply I think (it doesn't exactly revolves around the bakery and her profession as baker in the later part of the novel). I like how she won't give up without a fight to her husband. The love story made me feel a bit confused, . Overall nice. I will continue to read the 2nd book.

Would have liked her to be with Gary in the end because he sounds amazing but I got a feeling from the beginning it was only a rebound man
Thoroughly enjoyed slipping behind the eyes of Wynter Morrison, a bread maker at the Queen Street Bakery. The way this author writes, you can easily picture where the story takes place and get into the character's head in such a way that you feel every emotion clearly. I honestly couldn't put it down :)
reflective
slow-paced
I totally read part of my mother's library copy of this when it first came out but have no idea if I finished it, I love books about baking and should really see about finishing it
Thirtysomething woman finds herself through colonial crafts (breadmaking) and meets a man to replace the man who jilted her. Yawn. Not so bad I couldn't get through it, but there are much better books out there.
A really enjoyable read by Hendricks. I love recipes, restaurants, detail. I've picked up a couple other books by this author, and hope they prove to be great "summertime reading," as well.
this book made me want to master making bread from scratch!
Interesting trophy wife turns down to earth person story, but I thought some of the characters were a little extreme. It did make me want to bake some bread! There are a few recipes in here too.
Aside from the fact that the main character seemed completely oblivious to everything going on around her, an enjoyable read. I want to make the chocolate cake with caramel espresso sauce recipe!
