This was mostly just an okay read for me. Logan, single, divorcee father, meets Remy at a festival where there’s instant sparks and chemistry. They share one amazing kiss before separating. Through fate, Remy moves into the workshop Logan’s uncle owns up the hill from his own home. The sparks fly when they reunite. While their love story was sweet (Remy calls Logan, Papa, which while it shouldn’t work … it definitely does lol) I found myself a bit bored? This should’ve been a quick read but it dragged at parts for me. I loved the hurt/comfort parts but I think it just needed a bit more drama? Not a break up but idk some angst! I did like them together though even though I found Remy wildly more interesting than Logan.

Was it steamy? Yeah! And sweet. But I wouldn’t classify this as a holiday romance. The holiday is definitely at the background here. Their love story just happens to HAPPEN at the holidays. It’s sprinkled throughout but meh. I think maybe this book suffered from being too short? Things could’ve been expanded on had it been 20k words longer.

Also fuck you Leigh for all the Locke teases and then dipping out on saying who was with him!!!!!! I’ve been obsessed with Locke since his intro in Rebels MC. And I know I probably sound quite insane but if I don’t get Locke/Nash/Orla then what even was the point.

I loved this so much. It was endearing and so warm.

I love that there wasn’t any unnecessary drama. While it was a little insta-lovey, it wasn’t too rushed or over the top. Honestly, after that initial kiss, Logan and Remy had been dreaming about each other for months so it felt genuine to their connection.

Sometimes I feel like the slow burn can be tedious but I loved how we got to know more about each man and what their time apart had been like. We also got to experience that build up of passion and how they held back but wanted so much. Once they finally made love, it was wildly beautiful and meaningful. They were so overcome with emotion, they couldn’t hold back.

The relationship between Logan and his twins was adorable. Their dad was their hero! He was such a good dad!! I also adored how apparent that was when Remy, unbeknownst to him, was watching them at the park. Remy could just tell that Logan was so attuned to his boys. He knew how to communicate with both.

The way the boys embraced Remy was powerful. They never questioned their dad being with a man or treated Remy like he was invading their family. They immediately were drawn to him and trusted him. I even loved how Logan’s ex wife valued his judgment enough to also trust Remy.

This book had so much heart!! Everything you could want in a holiday love story!

Christmas on Firefly Hill is a dreamy, sweet, and sensual holiday romance between a firefighter/single dad and a fire dancer/jewelry maker.

This delivered just what I want from a holiday romance: sweetness without being cloying, a bit of angst without being tragic, and a beautiful and sexy relationship blooming with the magic of the season.

Logan is a firefighter working an extra summer gig when he’s captivated by a fire dancer. They share a brief kiss before he’s called away, and neither man can forget that moment. Months later, dancer Remy has had the rug pulled out from under his life after an accident, and he’s struggling to get by. Living out of his van, he manages to secure a workshop on Firefly Hill … where Logan lives. Their attraction is just as strong months later, and their chemistry is immediate and hot. The two men draw closer as Remy struggles to pull his life together and Logan attempts to balance the demands of his job with his responsibilities to his adorable twin sons.

This was such a fantastic read. I loved quiet Logan, always frustrated when he tries to articulate his feelings, and I loved Remy’s independence and his determination to help out however he can. There’s a lovely magical feeling to this story, making it perfect for the season. I so, so enjoyed this book. Definitely recommend.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

Christmas on Firefly Hill is the newest holiday novella by Garrett Leigh. Single dad and firefighter Logan Halliwell is hoping to make this holiday season special for his sons after his recent divorce. He is shocked when a memory from a summer festival shows up renting his uncle’s workshop on Firefly Hill. Remy Collins needs a place to finish his holiday orders and the workshop on the hill is ideal. He never expects that Logan is the fire marshall he remembers from the festival and that the two would have explosive chemistry and an unexplainable connection. But both men harbor heavy baggage and refuse to open themselves up completely. Can the holiday season bring the two together or will the end of the year bring the end of their blossoming relationship?

Logan Halliwell is trying his best. He wants to be there for his sons while being the best firefighter he can be but he’s just tired. Remy comes into his life and brings so much lightness and support that he never knew he needed. The two try to keep things physical for the sake of their hearts but Remy just manages to find a place in Logan’s life that is meant to be forever.

This man has a unique way of being so f*cking sweet and filthy at the same time. It’s so potent it should be a weapon, and I’m powerless against it.

Remy Collins knows he’s in deep trouble when he runs into Logan again and finds the man he’s been dreaming about is even more alluring than before. Remy fails to keep himself from getting attached to Logan’s sons, Billy and Sam. He struggles to believe that Logan isn’t just a charitable caregiver and truly wants Remy for everything.

He says it like it’s ordinary. Like he’s ordinary. But as I watch him work with deft fingers and skill, I get another reminder he’s nothing of the sort.

Christmas novellas tend to be a bit insta-lovey and this one definitely had moments of it. But with the sweetness of the holiday season and watching the two men find happiness and support in each other I was able to put my dislike of that trope behind me. This book was a healthy balance of steam, sweet family times and angst. I really want to see who Logan’s brother Locke ends up with, so hello motorcycle series.

4 stars for Logan and Remy finding holiday happiness on Firefly Hill.

This was a super cute read! Definitely had a little bit of Hallmark movie vibes to it which is always perfect for the holiday season. I am a big fan of the Rebel Kings series by Garrett so it was super interesting to meet Locke's family in circumstances beyond the club. I liked Logan a lot (we all know I love my firefighters and single dads), and Remy was a delight. I loved the progression of their relationship and how even during Remy's own struggles he wanted to remain independent and not be a charity case. I thought Logan was so sweet to Remy and to his boys - Remy being such a natural with Logan's kids was so cute to see too.

No one has ever kissed me as much as he does. It’s a whole body experience. A soul-shifting ride. I keep my eyes open so I don’t float away, but I’m powerless to the weightless warmth he gifts me.

I fell in love with this story and these two amazing me. Logan & Remy meet at a festival and their connection is instant. They may have only spent a few minutes together and shared a Kiss, but it left a mark on both of their hearts.

A few months later they end up meeting again and the spark is still there and just as strong. A lot has happened to Remy since their meeting and he's struggling. After an accident seriously injured him, he is facing hard times. He rents a workshop from Logan's Uncle which happens to be up the hill from his house. They keep bumping into each other and start to form a friendship.

Remy is amazing with Logan's twin sons, Billy & Sam. He wants to remain independent, but Logan can't help interfering. He offers him a meal, which then leads to a Kiss. I loved watching their relationship progress and you knew they would eventually explode. These two are so hit and heavy and their sex scenes are off the chart. They just click together and that runs into the bedroom.

They both have hangups, and this leads them to constantly worry about things, such as what their relationship actually means. Logan finds it hard to put his feelings into words and I loved how patient Remy was with him. Logan was also amazing with Remy and tried not to push his boundaries.

The small bit of angst was near the end, but it was over quickly and it leads them to finally admit their feelings. They just stole my heart and so did Logan's twins. I just really need Locke's book, Logan's twin brother, and also Galen's story too. I'm loved the ending and was sad to see it end.

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

This was super cute! I absolutely loved how independent they were, but also how they helped each other and lifted each other up.

The kids were absolutely adorable, and I loved the vibes. And he calls him Papa, but it's cute.

Tis the season and I was indulging in a number of holiday stories this week. I saved Garrett for last because she is one of my favorite authors. Christmas on Firefly Hill was everything I wanted it to be. It’s a story about finding love when life is hard and that just so happens to be during the holidays. I was not surprised that it had a chasm of depth and her incomparably lovable characters. I am a mood reader and I can always count on Garrett to make me FEEL deeply for her characters, their pasts, and their future HEA. This story was no different and an absolute treat to read.

They met on a summer night in the rain and shared only a kiss that neither forgot– a kiss that both dreamed about on lonely nights. Logan is a firefighter and single dad just trying to survive the day to day chaos that is his life. Remy is a young artist and poi dancer, trying to find his footing after a major injury. They never thought they would meet again, but on a cold day on Firefly Hill, they get their second chance. In the weeks that pass, the spark that day burns into a

I can’t say enough how much I enjoy Garrett Leigh’s stories. Christmas on Firefly Hill was just the kind of story I enjoy with a holiday twist. I love the holidays as much as the next person, but sometimes Christmas stories are too short and lack the depth you expect from writers. Garrett delivered on all fronts. This story wasn’t rushed– with a lot of heart, steam, angst, great characters, and holiday spirit. I’m almost mad at myself for reading this so quickly, but fortunately I’m not adverse to rereading books I loved. And I really loved this story.

Overall it is a warm fuzzy story of finding comfort and love at the holidays, but there were a couple of things that bugged me.

Mainly what bothered me was that after we get some very lovely intimate moments at the halfway mark of the book that I thought showed how much they were growing to care for one another and how much attraction they felt between them, both characters undercut those scenes by having thoughts about how penetrative sex is the Ultimate Act and the Most Special. Which is something I have less and less patience with in all forms of romance. Include it or don't, but this sense that anything that isn't penetration somehow doesn't count as much feels wrong.

That being said, I did love how Remy seamlessly slipped into Logan's life and his twin boys loved him without any issue. The ex-wife was a good character, complicated and real and not just there to be compared to, with Remy being 'better'. And after I got into the swing of things, I did remember how much I can enjoy Leigh's very emotional style of writing. After the 20% mark, the rest of the book flew by.

Recommended, with a few caveats.
