Seriously just sped through this in 15 minutes... wow the FEELS!!!! Of course the end made me cry right in the middle of the library, but I'm trying to keep it together.
I think I would have liked this book just a teensy bit better if there would have been snippets of the real story between the post-its every so often.
Even still it was a super emotional read for such little text at some points.

So, I knew this was going to be a quick read. However, I did not foresee the impact that it would have on me. For being notes between a mother and daughter, some of them were surprisingly heartbreaking and moving. My mother and I have always had a very strong relationship, so it is incredibly difficult for me to imagine what my life would be like if we weren’t so close. Conversations via notes are just not enough. I tell my mom everything… she’s always there for me and I cannot imagine my life without her. If there are things this book teaches every daughter, it’s to appreciate, love unconditionally, and communicate with your mother, because you never know when you’ll lose those chances. I think this should be required reading for all mothers and daughters who are looking for a way to get closer to or solidify their relationship with each other. This was a great reminder of why I love my mom SO MUCH!

So, our new school librarian convinced me to read this and I'm so glad I did! This book is funny, touching and tear-jerking and I found myself crying my eyes out on the bus at how beautifully written it really was.

It was written in a really strange way, in the form of daily notes left between a busy mum who works full time and her teenage daughter of which they leave on their fridge, but it works really well and was an intresting and unique change from the usual standard novel form of which most books I read consist of.

I couldn't recomend this book more than I am now! Please read it, you'll never regret it I swear!

This is a novel told in the form of notes on a refrigerator between a busy mom and her teenaged daughter. Though the reviews for this book were lukewarm, I figured I'd read it because it was short. And my opinion isn't going to differ from the majority. I feel like my heartstrings should have been tugged at more with this book, but they weren't. The message was hammered in with all the subtlety of a brick to the head, and I was left unmoved. There were touching moments, and the characters did seem pretty authentic, but in the end the genuine moments were drowned out by the fact that I felt pretty manipulated by the whole thing.

A tiny book, very quick read - so fast I read it while standing in the stacks at the library.

This was a quick book, as in I read it in half an hour or less. It was written entirely in notes between a mother and teenage daughter. Through the notes we learn the mother has breast cancer, and goes through treatment. While it was a quick book, it was a good read. It made me think that we should never become too busy to have actual conversations with our loved ones. Real talk matters.
I would recommend to borrow this one, rather than buy it, because it's such a fast read.
