This is my favorite Allen Eskens book to date. I really enjoyed seeing the case from the law and from the perpetrators perspective. Leaves you thinking you know the whole story until you find that you didn’t.

“The Stolen Hours”, by Allen Eskens
4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My third book by this author and another good surprise.
Although not flawless, the storyline was compelling and there were some very good twists.
The characters were well constructed.
The serial killer was so arrogant seeing himself so superior to others. I did not like being inside of his head, because I thought he was too stupid.
I did find the development of the storyline quite repetitive, but that’s because of the multiple POVs.
One thing that almost made me quit reading  is that the author did abuse playing the odds and made the world too small.
But I’m glad that I decided to accept his idea.
I’m looking forward to reading his other books, “The Heavens May Fall” & “The Deep Dark Descending” (Detective Max Rupert Books)

This book was so well written. There were times I had to think about if I wanted to pick it up because of the emotions it invoked. Fast pace, good story, great characters.

A very enjoyable mystery with a twist at the end. I’ve now read 3 of Allen Eskens books and have found them to be delightful. I totally enjoy his characters and the progression of the mystery. He doesn’t kill you with so many characters you start losing track or more details that mean nothing.

I did not see the twist coming! If you want a fast paced book, this is it. Audio version was great.
