Once you get passed the first 70 pages, it all consuming and a really good story. I loved it. Rory and Scarlet are twins and go through real things. I love there bond. Rory changes into a werewolf and the writing is beautiful and makes it feel realistic.
This book has family drama, friendships, romance, mild horror, and some humor. It was great. I kinda wish there was more. Like a second book or a little novella.

Really nice quick read. Enjoyed the parallels between the two sisters and how everything was compared and written. Reaper best character. Took points away due to how many times the werewolf in the mirror was mentioned.
Graphic: Body horror and Violence
Moderate: Sexual assault

All in all, what a wholesome book. Mia saying the "better to hear you with" was my confirmation

Okay, this was cute. Is cute the word you’d except going into this book found in the horror section of your local book store? No, but it was so good. It had a little bit of everything: werewolves, family drama, trauma, and a side of romance
Rachel Harrison is just the queen at making cozy horror books.

Reading Glasses Podcast made me read it. It was really good. The main character at times really reminded me of April from Parks and Rec (with maybe a little Rosa from Brooklyn 99) in the way she thought and spoke. That was great! This was a much more character driven read than my usual fare and it was a great foray into that side of fiction.

This book was an in-depth look at what it is like to be a woman and finding power in the monster she can become.
But also, her sister kinda sucks.

I’m such fan of Rachel Harrison and her cozy horror books. I love the paranormal vibes, but this was definitely my first werewolf book since twilight 😂
I loved Aurora’s character so much! She was so funny, her one liners and relationship with her twin sister was so perfect. It made for so many cozy warm feelings.
Ian was…so sweet. So pure. I wasn’t sure I could like a cheesy “I loved you since forever” vibe but Harrison wrote it so well that I just felt all warm and fuzzy with it.
This book made me forget I was reading. I was so entertained that I read all day. I had to know how it would end. I’m happy to say that I really don’t have any questions. It was ended perfectly.
If you’re new into horror and like a bit of paranormal/monster vibes I would definitely look into this book and all of her other books. She’s one of my favorites 😍
