I don't always read thriller, but this book captivated me.
The twists and turns in this book kept me in suspense. The different point of views was a nice way to get different perspectives on what was happening and going through everyone's mind.
The flow of this book was perfect; it gave me what I needed while reading but also kept me wanting more.
I cannot wait to read more from Danny Dagan.

So we have an interesting thriller here, we have a clandestine group called Robins Brigade, and we have 5 billionaires who are given probably the worst ultimatum a parent could face after their adult children are taken hostage. The hostages are kept on a remote island with no way to escape, whilst their captors manipulate them with mind games.
I really enjoyed this book, it’s a great fast paced thriller and you hit the ground running from the first page. There are plenty of great plot twists to keep you guessing, and what an ending!
It is well written and I really like Danny’s writing style. This is another great 4 star read for me and would definitely recommend.
Holy twisted ice cream cone, I was never ready for what was coming next. This was a great psychological thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. I gasped out loud several times, I was anxious and needed to know the resolution. And the bad guy? Never saw that coming. 👏🏻 this was the author’s debut novel and I honestly cannot not wait to what else he has up his sleeve!
Robin Hood is a great story, at least until someone starts putting the plot into action. 5 billionaires have had the most precious thing taken from them: their children. They are kidnapped and placed on an island while their parents play The Heir Game. Four will return in a coffin, with only the child of the parent who pays the most of the their fortune in ransom remaining upright. This throws politicians and the public into a frenzy. With the funds received being immediately donated, are the lives of a few worth all of the ones that could be saved by that funding?
Thank you to Love Books Tours for the copy, all thoughts are my own.

Five Heirs
One Island
One Deadly Game”
The game is a brilliantly gripping psychological thriller centring on the abduction of five adult children, whose billionaire parents are given a difficult ultimatum; pay an exorbitant ransom, or lose their loved one. With two games set to take place, the parents of each child come together at Ewald House to initially support one another in these difficult times, until the rules of the games are released, and then it is every parent and offspring for themselves.
This is a book that is highly engrossing, full of secrets, betrayals and deteriorating friendships. Despite there being a large character list, it is easy to keep up with the who’s who, and each character is well developed with a strong personality. I do feel that there could be more development on Davis and Theo’s relationship so that the reader can understand why they seem so standoffish to one another, but that does not take away from how well each character's interaction added to the story. I could really feel the despair and heartache that the parents were displaying, and the proof of just how far each would go to protect their child.
I found myself feeling very emotional towards majority of the characters, especially Noah, Zayn and Ashleigh, although the situations surrounding all of them did feel unjust and slightly unnecessary, but they did add to the characters mental psyche and helped guide their behaviours which I completely understand helped increase the books and characters angst.
The world building was brilliant, and just as an off-note Zayn and Natalia’s date sounds like absolute perfection! Readers are able to easily envision the remote island that the five hostages are held on, despite them being held on a beautiful island, they still experience harrowing ordeals, and some of the more upsetting scenes were so well written and created that you could feel the characters anguish through the pages.
The way that the author has written and developed the book is brilliant, it is full of angst and mystery, and each character holds a great deal of mistrust, I spent majority of the book curious as to who would win the game, only for the last chapter to throw the biggest unexpected curveball ever, plus that epilogue, I feel like there is a set up for a sequel, and I am signing up to read it now!
I recommend this to fans of mystery and thrillers but please check out the triggers before reading; child abuse, sexual abuse, death, fake death and attempted suicide

This was a wild ride ... i thought I started to get what was going on but the author did have me hanging right up to the last page. What I thought I knew from about page 100 was completely wrong. This was such a story of deplorable characters who you love to hate. This book hits on so many social elements which hit home - especially when dealing with poverty and wealth. I think this was the type of thriller which I enjoy as it is realistic to what is happening in the world and something that you can see happening.

I love the cover of this book, the beautiful shade of blue somehow feels peaceful, and yet the overall picture somehow conveys the thrilling story within.
I was absolutely blown away when I realised that this was a debut novel, and am desperately hoping that it will become a series. For me it was both a sinister twist on the well known story of Robin Hood, and also an interesting narrative on wealth and what that really means. On paper, someone may have billions of pounds. Yet the selling of assets and companies to release that money leads to job losses further down the chain.
This story was perfectly paced and had me fully invested right from page one. I felt like I should have disliked the main characters, or at least their parents. And whilst I'd never agree with the methods that Robin Brigade used, the fact that a handful of people could solve poverty by sharing their wealth makes me uncomfortable.
The writing style had me fully immersed in the story. And the twists at the end, well I did not see them coming! The language used and level of description was absolutely spot on. The characters were all interesting both individually, and as a group.
This was an outstanding read, even more so for being Danny's debut work. He is definitely going to be an author to look out for!

I was hooked from the start and devoured the rest. The author’s writing was descriptive, imaginative and had an easy flow. While reading, I was curious, interested, engaged, and unexpectedly immersed in this story.
The Game was one surprise after another. I never saw the big reveal coming and continued to be stunned right up until the end.
The author leads the reader to consider several items: as a parent, how far would you go for your children; what would you, as a child, do for your parent; does saving many justify the deaths of a few; and how much is too much? The Game makes profound statements on the state of the world without coming off as preachy.
Two minor things that I didn’t click with. (1) There are a lot of characters coming in at the same time and I had a hard time keeping track. (2) One subplot that got a fair amount of ink, while interesting, seemed not to add much to the storyline.
All in all, this was a winner for me and I look forward to reading more from the author.

What an excellent thriller this was!! It was a fun, twisty, and gripping ride from start to finish. The characters were interesting, and I enjoyed the chapters switching between the (adult) children, the parents, and the government. Overall, It was a pretty fast-paced read, with slow, unfolding twists that I, surprisingly, didn't see coming at all. However, the ending was unexpected and slightly abrupt, considering everything before that concluded nicely. Although, I suppose it leaves the door open for a sequel, so it didn't really affect the story.
