Soo good. Although this book has one of my least favorite tropes (miscommunication) it is really well done and adds to the story. I still got frustrated and has to speed through that past, but I love this book, series and characters, regardless. The audiobook is just as well done as the rest. I look forward to reading the fourth book and am sad that the series isn’t complete yet. I can’t wait for more of Cricket and the guys.

Amazing!

This book was amazing, it did contain more angst then the other two but it also has so much joy too. The story is evolving and this was the best book so far.

Cricket is still one of my favorite comfort characters! We finally reached her birthday and find out who her mate(s) are, but are left with more cliffhangers than answers at the end of this book. The story branches out even more to the other people in her circle showing us pieces of where their stories may go. Definitely ready for
I love the introduction of Rainer and can't wait for him to be a bigger part of the story. I'm hoping book 4 has some action. We got the angst drama in this book but I want to see them kick butt at something!

So conflicted on my rating for this one. On one hand, we finally got to the part we waited 3 books for: her birthday, which annoyingly was only 3 weeks after the start of school and shouldn't have been dragged out that long. But yay we've officially confirmed what was clear from the beginning: she's their mate. Yet there are still way too many side characters, most that I just don't care about, and the POVs given to some of them just seem to drag things out.

I'd really like to know why the pack alpha thought it was a good idea to give Cricket zero information on mates, bonding, and the dangers of multiple mate marks, and then just have her prance in newly marked when he deemed it was time, with no warning of what to expect. If things had gone as he planned, she would have been ambushed with no knowledge of what mates or mate marks were, only to find herself in the middle of a deathly meeting with her three mates with no idea what was going on. No one in this story uses logic.

Also why include a cheating arc (which btw was so OOC for that character by that point) if they're going to be forgiven within moments? Days before he even cheated, she literally told them that if they "made a mistake" she would forgive them and they'd get through it. Y'all that's taking the patient, understanding, kind hearted heroine thing too far. She was later sobbing from a broken heart minutes after he cheated, and still saying she didn't blame him? Please let your characters have some amount of self respect. This is important.

This timeline.... It's agonizingly slow. I skimmed so much of this book because I just don't need to read about every minute of every day. I'm going to attempt the final book because I'm still oddly invested in Cricket and her guys. I at least want to see how they get through the next school day, which will be like the first 15% of the next book, I'm sure.

Edit: I forgot to add the Cardinal sin of this series trailing is along for three sloooowly placed books just to give us a few scenes of vanilla sex. How did these guys pull so many women again?

I really enjoyed this book! The pace finally stepped up, I was glad to see more happening and to finally get some real tension in the story. The angst was really great and had me completely hooked in.

I loved the way the romantic relationships progressed and I'm still really enjoying getting to see from a variety of characters' perspectives.

I did feel like Cricket forgave Cas a little too easily. I don't mind that she did, but I wish he'd had to work for it a bit rather than her deciding to forgive him on her own before they'd even seen each other again.

The sex scenes where a little rushed and underwhelming after so much build up, but that's probably just personal preference for how I like spicy scenes to be written. Another minor thing, but Cricket's brothers commenting on her anal virginity, and openly in front of a group of people, was so cringy. There is some really great banter and funny moments in this series, but that one missed the mark.

Rylan is a great character and I can't wait to see more from him.  I'm really excited to see what the rest of the series has in store, especially surrounding Cricket's circle and how that's going to develop.

I very much should have known that by calling this a series it wasn't a trilogy but for some reason my brain turned smooth in regards to that. I thought this was would be the last book for Cricket and her circle but I'm actually really glad it isn't.

It's fun reading stories about teenagers that are in the modern world, incorporating modern themes and ideas. Hearing the squad talk about reverse harem books and ACoTaR was seriously kind of awesome.

While I still enjoy the Charlotte Reynolds series a bit more, Cricket and the boys, plus her many friends (HELLO RAINER YOU BEAUTIFUL FOOL) still hold a very warm and fond place in my heart and I cannot wait to see what the future holds not just for this foursome but her whole gang.

So in Love!!

I love Cricket and her mates so much I love their growth and seeing their insecurities and then them all working through everything. The love they have for one another is unmatched. Every relationship has their growing pains and everyone has to get used to the new dynamics but each guys completes Cricket they are embedded in her soul just as she is in theirs. I am absolutely loving this series so much and I am so looking forward to the next book!
