The story has slowed down and become just way to complicated

I didn't realize that CONSUMED was the fourth book in the series until about half way through reading it and i honestly would have never guessed that it wasn't the first if I wouldn't have noticed that.
The pace was nice and fast, I was never bored and the characters were all fun to follow. The twists were well revealed and they was plenty of action. Katie and Jordan had fantastic chemistry together and I loved how their relationship progressed even though they were both pretty stubborn. The world that the series is set in was easy to fall into and I cant wait to read more about it. I loved how the last chapter took place 2 years later so we could follow up on them, I'm always disappointed when books end without letting us know what happens so that was a great surprise.
I don't think I will go back and read books 1-3 because I don't really like to go backwards but I will defiantly be following the series here on out.

I was looking forward to seeing how Jordan and Katie's story would resolve. He is a bit of a bonehead, but I was still charmed by the conclusion.

I really liked Katie and Jordan when they where side characters in the other books. So I couldn't wait to pick up there story. I felt like the characters had changed to much. It seems this book has skipped forwards a couple of years so big changes have happen that the reader doesn't get to experience with these characters. Which was why the story seemed more forced to me then others. I felt like the characters where great when they were secondary characters but now that they are the main characters their story just seemed to fall flat:(

Jordan and Katie's story is the best. I liked that KATIE was the one pursuing her man no matter how many times he brushed her off. I think it reminds women that we don't have to wait on life to deliver what we want (aka a man to chase us) that we can be empowered to go after things of our own accord.
