Not my cup of tea.

Unbearable. Started out with me on board then I couldn’t STAND it

I didn't understand a lot of it. Probably didn't read it with a good mind space. For me, the best part was the last chapter. I plan to re-read this after I read the Kafka books mentioned in the appendix. If someone wants to get together to discuss/explain things to me, I'd be interested.

I don’t know what I expected from this, but I didn’t anticipate walking away with a newfound love and admiration for Camus. These essays are poetic, well-constructed, and (while dense) not terribly difficult to understand and read. I really liked “The Stranger” when I read it in high school, and these essays made me eager to read more of Camus’ work in the future.
