This book was so good I loved everything about it from the hate to love romance to the twisty and turny parts of it to all of the other complicated parts of it. I loved all of the characters but the ones I loved best were Aileese,Bastien and Sabine. I loved Aileese and Bastien for the slow and complicated for so many reasons romance between them it was gradual and when it finally happened it was so very good. I loved Aileese herself for many reasons one was her determination to believe in what she was taught I loved her ability to grow and to learn that things can be different. I loved Bastien for even with his quest to avenge his father he became conflicted about Aileese pretty early on it did not take a long time for him to fall for her. I loved Sabine for her devotion to Aileese that she would do anything to save her even before she knew what she knows now she has that strong of feelings for her
Spoilershe's her sister after all
I loved the plot it started out strong with Aileese going with Sabine to kill her amoure that ended with her being abducted it all started from there it was a twisty and turny book that I loved so very uch.

Bone Crier’s Moon was a fast paced read the sucked me in almost immediately. It has my favorite trope, enemies to lovers, as well as very detailed lore for the Bone Crier’s.

I absolutely adored the friendship between Sabine and Ailesse. These two ladies displayed platonic love in such a perfect way and neither tried to change the other. Their relationship was nearly my favorite in the book.

I do love enemies to lovers books, they’re always my favorites and I always say, “if they’re not trying to literally kill each other then I don’t want it”. Clearly I did love the beginning of the relationship between Bastien and Ailesse, but it honestly fell off for me. We never really got to watxh the two of them fall in love, it was so rushed that I couldn’t bring myself to give this book 5 stars.

Overall I’m excited to read the next one.

I was enthralled in this book, it was a really fun read. A premise I hadn’t really heard of before, doomed romance (but hopefully not ACTUALLY doomed), and likeable characters. I do think it would have been better as a stand-alone book considering how long it is , and I really was not a fan of the ending. I felt it could have been ended really well but instead it left on a crazy open ended note. Sequel was set up to be more of the same as the first book. Ah well, I’ll probably still read it because I’m curious how everything will be resolved, and I really did like the writing.

This book is absolutely amazing. One of my top reads of the year. Ailesse and Sabine are stunning characters, as well as their bond. I loved Sabine’s journey, as she had a lot to conquer, battling her way to help Ailesse. I also loved Bastian and Ailesse. There are so many jaw dropping twists and a page turning climax. The bone magic was fascinating and an awesome part of the story.

Mild spoilers:

I’m so conflicted because I like the concepts and the world and the bone criers and the idea of the characters, but everything kinda fell flat. I wanted more character depth and more chemistry and more build up to things. I feel like they only had placebo chemistry because they believed they were soul bonded. They just look at each other and boom they are all up in their feelings, which is just a little lame and I wish it had been built on anything substantial. I could have used more back story on the characters and more development. I loooved Sabine but I felt like she had this huge obstacle about not wanting to hurt animals but then it really just disappeared. Like she flipped a switch and was badass and cool with killing. I thought that story and obstacle were both super cool but resolved way too quickly, it bummed me out.

Overall a cool story and I read it in just a couple days, I was still captivated by it. But I think a lot of that stemmed from the fact that I wanted more depth and more substance to the book and I kept thinking it was coming later.
