I enjoyed this, and he put himself in a good light. There were definitely some "woah" blind spots from a colonialist British man (he makes no comment on the history of the island he's taken over). Yet...he does seem like a better person than most billionaires? Maybe because he wrote the book, and he's sober. At least he's not Elon Musk.

While I enjoyed this book, I'm not sure it is exactly the best book on Leadership. It is geared more towards entrepreneurship and the leadership piece seemed to be an after thought. I think that Branson is obviously incredibly successful, smart, innovative, and a visionary and obviously has some leadership skills but most of his nuggets of wisdom aren't particularly revolutionary, but I suppose good tips to keep in mind in the world of business.

Just finished Richard Branson’s “The Virgin Way”. It is well written, thought provoking and provides great insight into his businesses (and lots of anecdotes of others’ businesses). His humanity shines through and is inspiring in every chapter. In the book, he gives his top ten leadership pieces of advice.... this is my top 5 of his top 10:

1) Make a positive difference and do some good

2) Listen more and talk less

3) Do what you love and have a couch in the kitchen

4) Believe in your ideas and be the best

5) Have fun and look after your team

I HIGHLY recommend this book. Whether you’re looking for some professional inspiration or personal reflection, this book will get you there.

I listened to this in the car on the way to work and really loved it. Lots of great tips for business leaders. If I ever take that first step and start my own company, I will re-read this for how to do it right.

This Crazy business man is one of my role model. His future plans include Hyperloop transportation, Space tourist transportation.Even his motto is Screw it and Let’s Do it.

As M.K Gandhi told once Live as if you will die today and learn as if you were to live forever is his way of life. This book provides us some tips for an entrepreneurs from his own life Some of them are,

Always Listen to others
Write vision,dreams,ideas every time in a book/diary
Visit your staff and always spend quality time with most important asset ‘your people’/collegue and encourage them
Always meet your customers directly if you can ( Toyota way of business ‘genchi Genbutsu’ is an example for it).
KISS(Please don’t mistake it’s ‘Keep It Simple Stupid’): don’t make unnecessary complication make everything simple.

Много добра. Задължително се чете с тефтер и химикал, за да може да се водят записки.

A little too humble-bragging and virtue-signaling for my taste but it's still an entertaining book.

What struck me about the book is how cool and funny Richard Branson's personality is. It's refreshing to meet his relaxed down-to-earth normal character against a backdrop of more quirky and edgy biographies of leaders. He starts off the book reflecting on his own background and how it helped shape him, clearly a mark of someone who understands the role of luck. There's in fact a chapter on luck, but points out that people get extremely lucky sometimes, yet sometimes it can require preparation. He quotes "luck is when opportunity meets preparation". If you are looking for a more biographical take, this is not it. The focus of the book is solely leadership and business, and provides interesting stories from the Virgin empire and other companies.

Enjoyed every bit of the book!
