This is the manual of all manuals. It has so many gems for women who are navigating sexist workplaces. It's a book that I plan to revisit over and over again.
Fun and amusing with great illustrations and the occasional useful tip. Made me nostalgic for the days when I believed that most people were inadvertently sexist and if we simply pointed out the error of their way, things would get better.
Fluffier than I'm used to, but entertaining and a great source for continued reading. This would be a lot more applicable for women who work with primarily men, and I'm very lucky to have a very femme-centric work environment.

I really liked the idea of this book and the structure but I had issue with some of the content. Felt like there was a lot of genitals = gender but it also emphasized intersectional feminism? I thought it leaned heavily on old school gender stereotypes to lighten the mood of the book…the book which is theoretically fighting gender stereotypes? I also got the vibe that some of the recommendations to fight gender bias in the workplace was just for women to emulate men and to work even harder which I disagree with. I guess the target audience for this book is just reaaallly specific. I’m glad the book exists though.
This is a terrific companion to Jennifer Romolini's book Weird in a World That's Not. Bennett has a a similar thesis to Romolini, but, where Romolini's is focused on the individual trying to make a place for herself in a job or career, Bennett's book is a how-to for creating an equitable work culture. Though it's aimed at women, there's some excellent advice for male feminists or men looking to become feminists (fingers crossed that's all of them). I also bought a copy of this one for my 23-year-old niece. She's getting a lot of books for Christmas this year.

definitely kind of a worthless book to read during my research for my end of year thesis.
