So, here's my recommendation: read this immediately following the first book. I remembered really enjoying he first one and caring a lot about Grace, but by the time this one came out, I only vaguely remembered the story and spent most of this book wondering why I liked Grace in the first book. Around the 60% mark, this one started getting really good and through the remainder, I remembered why I had so enjoyed the first one. Read them together!
Did not finish. I wasn't crazy about the protagonist in the first book and I liked her even less in this book. So much so that I quit.
This book kept me on the edge at every turn. you never know what is going to happen next. i like the concept of this book because we don't get to see what it is like for embassy children in books. in this book we learn more about who her mother was and get to meet her brother. the ending of this book end is in a major plot twist that you will not see coming. we will also learn about scarface. the book was a fast but entertaining read. i can not wait till the next one.
I enjoyed this book more than the first in this series! Once again, I did find the middle a little slow, but the ending made everything worth it! I like how you are still left wondering who to trust.
I’m liking this series less and less and it’s sad since I liked Ally Carter’s other series. I just think I don’t like any of the main characters in this nor the romance. The plot is just meh as well.
Another great one from Ally Carter! I love the mystery and the political intrigue of these books! Can't wait for the next one!
I liked Book 2 of this series even more than Book 1. I absolutely love the setting and the storyline. A great page turner!
