Wolf, has done alot of things in his life as a Navy Seal and CIA operative. And when he finds out that Lainie is being threatened he will do anything and everything to keep her safe, even if that means playing her "boyfriend".
Possessive/protective hero, steamy as hell moments, off the charts chemistry and on the edge moments made this one hell of a page turner.

This was the first book I've read by this author and it was truly amazing. I've heard it is part of a spin off series but can be read as a stand alone. After reading this I have to check out the other series. I couldn't put it down the pages pulled me in and I couldn't stop until I knew who was causing trouble for Lainie. Plus Nick is the typical bearded hot as sin hero type.
Just when you think you got everything figured out, bamm plot twist. I was at the edge of my seat and sweating a little at the end, sooo brilliant.
So good highly recommend you to read and also keep an eye out for the next book.

Youβre telling a woman that Nick used to sleep with kissed him and he didnβt see it coming, didnβt turn his face or stopped it immediately. Nick whoβs supposed to have these super fast reflexes and see things coming a mile away due to his background.
And they kissed long enough for Lainie to catch them; I mean my man had his eyes closed and everything.
Then Lainie apologized to HIM for running away? WTF.

A fast-paced suspense full of twists! This one kept me on my toes, and I couldnβt put it down! Nick and Lainie both have their reasons for staying away from each other, but they also canβt ignore the pull between them. When Lainieβs in danger and Nick realizes he could lose her? Heβs all in. Iβm pretty sure Iβd probably punch someone if they bulldozed their way in and just told me we were together, but listen. In a book? I eat it up. I was living for his protectiveness and the way he wasnβt going to give up on the two of them being together. And I love the way Lainie pushed back. These two are fire together, and I canβt wait to read the rest of the series!

Wolf is the first book in the Sentinel Security series, a new suspense-filled romantic series. We have seen these alpha heroes and heroines as side characters in the other series but now we finally get their long-awaited stories. We met Wolf and Lainie in the Norcross series, and Wolfβs story is one I have longed to see. His story was the perfect book to start the series off with.
CEO Lainie has crushed on Wolf, her best friend Noraβs older brother, all her life. She tries to avoid him at all costs until she starts to receive disturbing death threats and her companyβs websites are being attacked. She has sworn off men but having Wolf pretend to be her boyfriend makes her want to reconsider her decision.
Former SEAL and CIA agent Nick βWolfβ now works at Sentinel Security. He has spent years ignoring his attraction for Lainie but once he discovers she is being threatened, he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
The connection and attraction between Wolf and Lainie were strong and full of spice. I loved seeing the bossy over-protective Wolf try to leave the fierce and independent Lainie out of the case. Lainie was not one to stand down and let someone else solve her problems. They made the perfect couple.
I was so excited to see the Sentinel Security team finally get their own series. I always love getting to revisit with characters and since the Norcross and the Sentinel Security teams have worked together on a lot of cases you never know who will make an appearance. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait for the next book which will be Hades.
