I loved Luca & Aria’s story so much. I was excited to read about their daughter Marcella. & I was not disappointed.

This story kept me interested. Maddox seeking revenge on the capo for what he did to his family. & what can hurt a man more than kidnapping his precious daughter. Maddox did not think he’d fall for his enemies daughter but life isn’t always as expected.

Marcella is one bad bitch. I absolutely loved her. She is a mix of her mother & father but she gets here boss self from her daddy. She didn’t show weakness & stayed strong.

Maddox - my dude. I felt for him. I did feel like he could’ve done more to protect her. But he did his best. I just don’t get how he did her at the end. That was messed up.

This left on a cliffhanger. On to the next.

Plus I can't believe i've read my most anticipated book since the author announced this series.

The essence of this series is basically the kids paying for the sins of their father (Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles & The Camorra Chronicles) . And it starts with Marcella, Luka's daughter, paying a hefty price for his sins.

Marcella and Maddox are so fine together. They complement each other so perfectly, truly opposites attract. But in that, they did share some similarities as well.

I love how Marcella is shown as this superficial girl who cares about her looks. But underneath, she is so strong and fierce, truly her fathers daughter. Her strength is truly shown throughout her kidnapping and more so after.

Maddox is a man hellbent on revenge because Marcella's father killed Maddox's father many years ago. It's years later, and Maddox and the MC cultivate a plan to kidnap the Mafia boss's daughter. But with all good forbidden romances, Maddox starts to feel things for Marcella.

There were some elements and scenes in this book that I wasn't a fan of, hence the missing one star.

However, this story is truly so intense and thrilling, a page turner that will captivate you.

Honestly, I am so intrigued to see what part II brings, especially after the ending of this book.
Very curious.

There’s gotta be something wrong with me to start 2023 off with a dark romance series, maybe it sets the tone of the new year lol, anyways at first I had so much trouble connecting with the story until it picked up and boy did I love it. Literally kicking my feet and squealing which shouldn’t have happened. I loved Marcella’s character growth though, you could tell she was just daddy’s princess but by the end she was clearly becoming her own and she was such a badass I loved it!! I don’t mind Maddox’s, he’s ballsy for falling in love with Marcella I’ll give him that, I’m immediately starting the next book.
