This book was a decent installment, I'm starting to get a little more anxious and wanting the plot to get on with it. It's starting to feel like we've re-hashed the Olivia/Ricky/Gabriel triangle too much. It was exciting to see Olivia moving on with her father, and starting to figure things out. The set up for this story has been in since the second book, so I'm not overly surprised at the route it's taking. I just could wish it would be a little quicker about. Looking forward to Betrayals!. 3 out of 5 stars.

Another great read from Kelley Armstrong in the Cainsville series. When Olivia discovered that she was not only adopted but that her birth parents were serving prison sentences for serial murder. In an effort to track down the truth of why her parents did what they did, she has to travel back and forth between her previous life and the mystical world that's been opened up to her. Because this has an overarching storyline I do not recommend reading as a stand-alone, too many characters and plot points that could get confusing. I'm excited to read the next in the series, see what happens with Olivia next!

I think this is the best book so far in the series. It had some twists in it and I liked Gabriel's inner feelings are finally being shown.

This series is still a lot of fun, even though we get a bit more love-trianglely here. Olivia is great, I prefer Gabriel, but Ricky is surprisingly tolerable. Most of the twists here are fairly obvious, but I enjoy the ride.

This book had me laughing and it had me crying. Hanging on every page - the answers being just out of reach or thinking you knew only to be miles off.
The love triangle between Olivia, Ricky and Gabriel pulls very much at my heartstrings and there was a moment when I thought/hoped it would go a different way.

I don't have the next couple but I am hoping to get them and read them very soon.

Each book is getting better! I love the relationships between Olivia, Gabriel, and Ricky and I very much look forward to seeing how they continue to develop.

I'm terrible at guesses. Happy I was wrong. This series is making my life. I never re read books I really want to go back and reread the first two and catch all the clues that make sense now.

Here's the thing: Going back to Kelley Armstrong books is a treat. I love her writing, I think her stories are interesting and take unique spin on things. And I like this story... Or what lies under the story after getting past all the love triangle bullshit.

When I picked up the first book of this series, I thought it was so interesting. The second book kinda turned me the wrong way and this third book was a bit of torture to read through. I thought the first book set up a relationship perfectly - apparently I was wrong.

I don't think Ricky is a bad character, I just don't see the attraction. There's nothing there between him and Olivia besides sex. I'm going to continue on with the series because I know things happen later that intrigue me, but boy, was this hard to get through.

Spoiler I looked at reviews and saw that Olivia has a relationship with Gabriel at the end, and I want to get to that part. I don't care about Ricky at all and the fact that I have to read about them having great sex every five pages is annoying. Also pointless bar cat fight? Please don't.

Armstrong has done this in what feels like two others of her series, where I have to slog through the bad love interest to get to the good one and the more interesting story.
