Scarlett's entire brand I've noticed is "I'm not dealing with this right now" and she still had her irritating moments but then I had to take a step back and realize she is only 19 ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€. While Scarlett does get on my nerves at times. I still like her more than Tessalyn (could change based on how the Legacy Series went for me). I love Sorin and all of the Fire Court. Callan... idk about him lol his chapters are quite interesting lol. I couldn't give a shit less about Talwyn and I hate that the author tried to make me care about her love life BUT THE TWIST AT THE END WAS CRAZY. There are so many complex characters and the plot is not linear with different branches of side plot happening at the same time. There are also so many memorable quotes from this book too! (tattoo worthy if i must say๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€) I was gonna take a break from the series because it is a lot of dense reading but that ending has me starting the 3rd book immediately ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ.

A vast improvement upon the first installment! I really enjoyed myself reading it. I do have to say Iโ€™m wholly disinterested in the dynamic between Scarlett and Sorin. I also find them both individually just not it. She mouths off like an angsty teenager (donโ€™t get me started on the snarky one-liners, fortunately there were just a few in comparison to book one!) and he stomps off like a toddler. Iโ€™m here for the plot and the side characters. The world is not that original but Iโ€™m still intrigued to find out where the similarities to ToG/ACOTAR will cease. Itโ€™s a fun time and if youโ€™re looking for that, itโ€™ll provide. And oh my godddd, that twist at the very end! Whoa. Nice one. Iโ€™m also pretty sure these books improve as the author was writing them so Iโ€™m here for the ride.
