YİNE KAFAM ÇOK KARIŞTI VE HER ŞEY AMA H E R Ş E Y MAHVOLDU NEDEN NEDEN gidiyorum ben ya
As a loyal fan of reading spin off series’ to a book series that I liked or enjoyed, I knew I had to get my hands on this copy. I was beyond excited when I finally got around to this one.
The Becoming of Noah Shaw is told in the perspective of our main male character from the Mara Dyer Trilogy. We get to learn a little bit more about his character and his family in some chapters.
Now, if you are unfamiliar with this world, I should suggest to read the Mara Dyer Trilogy before devouring this one, also, there are a lot of trigger warnings in this book, and if you are squeamish or just uncomfortable with stuff like: sexual assault, self-harm, suicide, and so forth, I do not recommend you should read this or any of the other novels, but if you take all of that out, it was a great book and very entertaining, most of the time.
Last but not least, the last couple of pages had me in shocked, and begging for the next novel, which is bizarre since I gave this one three stars, but you never know if the next one will be better, right?
um i wish i never touched these books ??? i dont want to talk about it. i hope i die.

I feel like this book was both simultaneously everything and nothing, all at the same time. Before you read this make sure you refresh yourself on (or even re-read) the original Mara Dayer trilogy. I loved the new characters introduced and I enjoyed the different perspective on Mara and Noah's relationship. But I just found this book so confusing. I feel like this book was a frantic 'dot to dot' that was confusing to follow and didn't really do much except unearth old plot lines.
Let's see... I loved it, all the plot was good and things got twisted at some point. I was very surprised of some disappointing reviews about this book before I read it, I thought I wouldn´t like it BUT I DID! Of course there are so many things I hated or frustrated me but in general it is a 4.5 stars for me. (Seriously, there are things that really annoyed me but anyways)
I received an advance e-galley of this book from the publisher (via Edelweiss) in exchange for an honest review.
I should probably have revisited the Mara Dyer trilogy before starting this one, because I spent a lot of time at the beginning trying to remember what happened in those books, the last of which I read over two years ago. This book doesn't waste a lot of time rehashing everything that went down in the previous series (a trait I generally appreciate), so if you also need refreshers for things you knew five minutes ago, much less a couple of years ago, it would be worth taking the time to brush up. This book is melancholy and dark, and the characters have not gone on to live blissful, carefree lives. They still have to struggle with their "gifts", and their family legacies. Despite the high stakes, most of this book felt quite slow. The last quarter, however, reminded me why I keep picking up this author. The tension ratcheted and despite being pretty sure throughout most of the book that I was going to let this series die for me after this book, I have to admit that I'll probably pick it up because I just can't let go.
