Overall really great. Scene setting was great and overall plot was intriguing and kept me wondering.

Only thing for me was it did lean more YA than I usually prefer. But enjoyable nevertheless! Will seek out book 2.

A story of a girl and her 6 brothers who get cursed! This is a story full of love, adventure, danger, and magic! It’s a little slow in the beginning if you prefer a faster exposition BUT the journey you go on with these 7 siblings is sooooo worth it! The romance is so incredibly sweet and full of yearning 😭 & it’s not “annoying/dumb teenage love”!!
My only cons: there is what could be considered as a “twist”, but it’s not subtle; and i’m not 100% sure if I’d enjoy it as much upon rereading.
This is a Tekkon and Reikama stan account!!! I love them so bad 😭

hello the plot twist was to be expected kind of but i still didnt expect it so idk if its well written or if thats just on me but i definitely enjoyed it. a lot of the characters were annoying but thats okay because they were also iconic so i guess it's still a win ??

Beautiful story and world. Very easy read. Some characters start out feeling flat and stereotypical, but are more in depth as you learn more about them and their history. I feel like there were a couple of inconsistencies (people would avoid looking her in the eyes. She has a bowl on her head and nobody can even see her eyes.)
Also why is there 7 cranes on the front/back cover instead of 6?

An original and vibrant retelling of the Six Swans fairy tale which I think I like more than the original.  The setting is captivating and Lim does a fantastic job developing it.  The characters, especially the main heroine, who starts out somewhat bratty but grows significantly, and the stepmother, who is far more than she lets on, were all engaging and I really liked seeing how all the revelations came to light.  My biggest issue is all the sequel hooks at the end, since I think everything wrapped up well enough that a second book wasn't needed.

This was a lot of fun! Very easy to follow and get immersed in! One issue i had with this one was that towards the end, the main villain the MC was supposed to be fighting kept changing. It switched between three different people in the last 100 pages, and it made it feel a little rushed and confusing. But other than that, this was a cute fun YA fantasy!

I LOVE IT!!!!!! It’s everything I wanted in a high fantasy book AND MOREEE!!! Ok recap first:

The story is about a princess named Shiori, who was cursed by her stepmother, that for every word out of her mouth, one of her brothers would die. To make matters worse, her 6 brothers were cursed into cranes and cast from the castle, while Shiori had a literal BOWL stuck on her head but for some reason she cld see?? (This is the weirdest part of the curse, like I can’t quite figure out how someone wld look like this
