Definitely not as good as the previous two books , felt like the battles were very quick and over in a flash and this was very repetitive throughout this book .
Felt like it didn’t go into as much detail as the two previous books and other characters were hardly mentioned.

Great finale to the series. I really enjoyed it!
Amazing ending to an amazing series. Great characters, great world, great concepts, great story!
I found the ending anticlimactic so I gave it 4-stars instead of 5 stars.
This book was just so disappointingly bad. Between the 19 year old giving Braveheart speeches, the pages and pages of everyone standing around talking about what to do, the complete lack of chemistry between the leads who were Fated To Be Together, and the battles that were all won almost instantly; there was so much promise from the first two books that was all just wasted here.
Fallon’s team is good and everyone else is bad and out to get them. Major character deaths were telegraphed chapters ahead of time.
It felt like this book was written by a different person than the other two. What a waste.

The final book in the Chronicles of The One series is one that I was eagerly anticipating to be released and then to be delivered to me. I was so excited when it came. I wanted to start it right away, but school work had to be done first. When I did finally start it, I flew through it.
In the first book, we follow a cast of characters escaping the end of the world. We still get to see these characters in the second and third books but the story is more focus on their children in book three. Specifically, ‘The One’ also named Fallon. I didn’t love this in book two, but in this finale, I came to really enjoy it. I really adored the planning and then the action that this book had. It was full of good overcoming the evil that was plaguing the world.
These characters that we met as fetuses and then follow as they grow into the adults the are in The Rise of Magicks. I thought this was really great considering that I felt the first book lacked a bit of character development. It was certainly made up for in this aspect.
But the best part of this book was the action. There were several battle scenes as those on the side of the light fought to regain control of Washington, D.C., New York City, and then the Shield where all of this madness started. There were significant losses on both sides and Nora really tore my heart out a few times.
I also really loved the magical ideas behind the end of the world as we know it today. I thought this was compelling, the idea that the Doom that killed most of the population also somehow brought out magical abilities or attributes.
All in all, Nora did an incredible job with this series. It’s different from most of the other things she’s written and I just genuinely enjoyed it. I can’t wait to see what other kinds of fantastical stories Nora might come up with next.

Nothing more disappointing than a let down in the finale of a series. Book 1 was so great, Book 2 was good but ultimately clearly a "middle book" in a series, I was looking forward to Book 3 and how Nora Roberts would bring the series home. The build up was substantial, but the payoff was very lack luster. I wanted more. Much much more.
The pacing of Book 3 was off putting. We'd spent whole chapters on a small moments of time: looking at maps, conversations over dinner, training troops, having visions, worrying, and having more visions. And yet, only a few days for complex battle. With the first battle, I was expecting a bit more details on the tides of war. There was a bit of that. But mostly the battles are brushed over.
In Book 2, I started getting really frustrated with the main character: Fallon Swift. In Book 3 it was got worse. She spends so much of this book having the exact same series of conversations and it's beyond annoying. The visions & prophecies were not informative; didn't really provide any more answers. Constant reiterations on her purpose, admiration for her parents & New Hope originals, and reverence for the past.

Not as good as the 1st book. Could easily have had more detail and spanned 2 books. Too condensed. I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Shet! Ang ganda ng conclusion ng book na to. I love the characters and it ends so perfectly. Sa ngayon, itong trilogy na to ang all time fav ko. I can't describe how comforting it is to read them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
