Rereading this series a second time, that being said I love this series.
I noticed that this one have a more mature setting when it came to the relationship as oppose to the main couple from the first book. Where you can tell Noah and Adam were young, hot and heavy. August and Lucas were not as spicy and went into the relationship with a maturity you didn't see with Noah and Adam, which is okay for both couples.
Found myself giggling more with this one as well. The little add in quips from the brothers was a refreshing add on.

Ok so why was this cute? August was such a gentleman. Coffee messages? Flowers on the first date? Noting the things that don’t go with the meds? Reading relationship books? Wanting to murder someone for calling Lucas Captain Crazy? Being his Psychic Headphones? Teaching him to torture a serial killer who threatened him? So sweet.
Like listen to this: “If you’re going to leave me, you’re going to have to kill me first.” Like WTF why is that so cuuuuuuuteeeee. So romantic. I love it.
Also the way Luke feels what August feels during the smexy times is HOTTT.
Oh and I love that Noah is like the head of the Husbands of the Murders Club (HMC) and I hope he continues to conduct in all the future hubbies. He should create an onboarding training program to let them know that their boo is going to be obsessed and will never leave you.
I don’t think I’d read it again so by my own rules, I’m giving this 4 stars but it’s only because the blood play isn’t my thing

Genuinely so fucking cute. These silly little psychopaths are worming their way into my heart so fast
If you dont like isntalove/obsession, this series may not be your thing. I, however, have a reslly fucked uo attachment style so i love it. Also this book has some not super grsphic but pretty gnarly violence against women both on page and implied so... Do with that what you will.

READ: 07/30/24
BEFORE YOU READ: The author doesn't provide detailed enough tw/cw so here we go: so much violence against women (mentioned throughout as the mcs are trying to rescue the victims) women are kidnapped (including a side character), raped (there is some detail when mc relives some of the victim's final moments), tortured (minor details given), and killed, snuff flims, red room/dark web stuff (plot point, not on page), stalking (li to mc, but also bad guy to mc), murder (of bad guys, a lot, on page), torture (also of bad guys), and explicit sex with undernegotiated kinks (including: dominance/submission, bloodplay and knifeplay)
This book follows another Mulvaney brother, August. He's a professor by day, vigelante killer by night. When he bumps into a new professor (with a tragic past), he's smitten at first glance.
It's a shame that Lucas is a psychic, who now knows that August is a serial killer.
This plot is batshit. We're randomly introducing psychics after having no paranormal activity in book one?
