August is fucking adorable

The way the author writes August reminds me of AH’s Twisted Love—kinda obnoxious 😭. He and Lucas develop this thing seemingly out of nowhere. We don’t really get to see Lucas or August’s impression of him before the instant attraction kicks in. I had the same problem with the previous book.

I like that Noah still affects the plot even when he’s not the MC. Good continuity there, his conversations with August have been highlights.

This might sound a bit mean but sadly Lucas reminds me of a clairvoyant, blander Will Graham. I love Will and the different ways people write him in fics but this was not doing it for me.

This one was weirder than the previous one, what with Lucas' abilities and all, and I think I prefer Adam/Noah over August/Lucas. I still ended up enjoying it a lot and got through it relatively quickly.
