Love this book a little bit more than the first book.
Timid was so sweet and I might say kinda relatable, not straight from romance book. I mean the MMC or FMC wasn't a billionaire and they just lived like us, readers.
It was also so satisfying when long time adoration to someone finally got recognition and they ended up being together.
Love to read the relationship journey between Willa and Jackson, its ups and downs, and how they (especially Willa) tried so hard to made it worked. They (especially Jackson) might hid their worries but in the end they talked through it.
I love the suspense side of the story. A good portion for my like as a newbie in romantic suspense genre.
Definitely will read the third book.

.
A MUCH easier low angst read than I was expecting.
I was cool with that.
Jackson works at the neighbourhood pub in a small town. Willa (what the heck kinda name is that?) lives a hop skip and a jump away from said pub.
...yet somehow Jackson never noticed her??? for 10 years???
This is what sucked me into the book, wanting to know the answer. But I can't say as I ever got it.
So Willa is 26 now (10 years after Jackson came to town)? and... you guessed it
Still, I did enjoy it. It's cute without being cloyingly sweet.
Jackson is a nice guy, but probably not the brightest bulb on the planet. The most angsty it gets is when he tries to push her away when he gets cold feet. Willa is your stereotypical girl-next-door. I did like the way she talked back to Jackson when he was being an ass.
safety is good, i guess
