This book offers a unique take on second-chance romance, focusing on the story after the happily-ever-after, with glimpses into the couple's past dating history.

It was refreshing to read about an already-married couple navigating the ups and downs of marriage, highlighting the struggles every relationship goes through.

The story felt so relatable, raw, and real! I also loved how their friends rallied around both couples—calling them out when necessary, but also providing support and comfort when needed.

I can’t wait for more!

This was a ride! I am a huge fan of Dani Galliaro, and I couldn’t pass up the chance at another one of her works. I don’t typically go for characters that are already married, but this book may change my mind! The way this story was shared was special. The time jumps helped in understanding where the couple started and how they grew from all of life’s challenges.

challenging emotional sad tense medium-paced

I love reading a marriage in crisis trope because I love how the main characters go through lots of angst and the find their way back to each other. This was a new to me author so it took me some time to really get into the book. The beginning was good but I was frustrated with both Dylan & Jeanine. Dylan was immature, selfish and whiny and Jeanine cribbed at any minor inconvenience. I could understand where she was coming from but I got tired of her constantly calling Dylan a kid.
And the way her family members and some friends were asking her to get a "younger/hotter man" instead of giving her some advice to make things work (which was all this book was supposed to be about) it really got on my nerves. Also, the whole situation with Andy felt like cheating. That man also gave me the creeps and I was glad when Dylan put him in his place.
Overall, I liked some parts of the book but honestly, the way some things were written was a real disappointment and I expected a lot better from the book considering the blurb was very good. My rating for this one is 2.5 stars.

tears were streaming. heart was
racing. this book.. wow. i haven't read
a hockey romance like this one before,
andi was rooting for the couple the
entireeee time!! one of my favorite
subtropes is "love isn't enough" and
this book perfectly encapsulates that
the ending had me fighting for oxygen
and i was having a hard time reading
through my tears but WOW was it

This book was everything that I didn’t know that I needed!

This book is a huge second chance romance book but after the first happily ever after!

This book takes place between past and present and is told from both POV’s. The past makes you fall in love with Dylan and Jeannie’s love story and the present pulls you into real life marriage and real life issues that Dylan and Jeannie experience.

Unbreakable by @danigalliaroauthor is out now and AMAZING. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/

The only reason I let Dani Galliaro emotionally wreck me is because I know she will put me back together in the end. This story felt more real than so many fluffy romance novels and I loved that.

On the happy side, I snort laughed so many times in this book. Like Dylan, I also still laugh at fart jokes. And I cannot wait to see what Jack and Mara get into, I'm pretty sure I have at least part of the plot pegged... yeah it's fine I'll go to my corner.

Don't sleep on this book.

The journey that unbreakable took me on was amazing. I love a grown couple with real problems we can relate to.

We meet Dylan & Jeanine 8 years into their relationship. They have 3 kids and have just had to make the move from California to Ohio that neither of them really wanted. As most couples with three small kids they’re struggling with their relationship with one another. The physical part is still there but there isn’t really intimacy anymore. They’re just going through the motions. They are both trying to come to terms with the transitions the move brought but neither of them are doing well and they are both keeping it from the other.

This book was heavy. Not in the ways some books are but in the heaviness that is daily life. Even if Dylan hadn’t been a hockey player you could just replace it with someone having to move cross country for their job. The feeling lost in your relationship and motherhood and thinking your voice doesn’t matter and you have to pretend everything is perfect hit home. But it’s not all about the hard parts. There are sweet parts, wholesome parts, and I even laughed out loud during the dining table incident!

It took me a few days sitting with the book to be ready to write this review. If I had to describe it in one word it would be poignant.

Thank you so much to Dani & Sunny Babe PR for the arc!

Unbreakable is book one in the Ohio Rusties series and the author is new to me. This is Dylan and Jeannie's story.

This book follows their decade long relationship and shows past and present. Their story is raw and emotional. Unbreakable is not your typical romance and does get real. It shows all the highs and lows a relationship, in this case, a marriage can experience.

This novel does a phenomenal job showing that marriage takes *work* and compromise. I appreciated how real so much of this content was.

I did have a hard time with the FMC’s name constantly switching from Jeanine to Jeannie. I didn’t understand why that was necessary.

I also struggled because Jeannie/Jeanine is a little unlikable sometimes, like
when she says the move is the worst thing that’s ever happened to them, meanwhile they literally lost a pregnancy.

I also wish we got some closure
to what happened between MMC and his father after the end of the novel. MMC was worried about losing the relationship with his father, but we never found out if he did or not.

This story actually reminded me a bit of Colleen Hoover (but WAY better)
