Lady Renegades is the third and final book of the Rebel Belle series. The series follows Harper, who gets turned into a Paladin, someone bound by duty to protect the Oracle. The Oracle is David, the guy Harper hated but who later became her boyfriend. Now, David's run off so Harper can have a normal life. Except things take a turn for the worse when David starts creating more Paladin's and sending them to kill Harper. Now she has to figure out what's wrong and solve the problem.

Such a cool plot, isn't it? That's the problem with this entire series. Cool plot, bad books. And even worse protagonist.

I've never liked Harper. In the second book, I hated her. And that's because she's a shitty person. She's the person who, were someone to give her superpowers and a super-suit, would complain that it clashed with her handbag. Or the one who would refuse to save a person life because she can't take time off the prom-organising committee. And she's the person who, if she accidentally hit someone with her car, would drive off (and only maybe call an ambulance) because a criminal record would not look good on college applications.

I could go on, but you see my problem, right? It's hard to root for someone like that. And her rare moments of decency don't make sense because we're never given an explanation as to how she suddenly, and temporarily, developed something like compassion? Or a conscience? She sometimes does good stuff because... the plot demands it, I guess? There was a little bit of development with her. But not nearly enough.

Anyway, I'm ranting, so I'm gonna stop. The bottom line is that this series is in dire need of a good person as a protagonist. But since that isn't happening, we'll move on to the positives. Let's see...

This was a very short read. Took me like, four hours. And it wasn't badly written either. I simply didn't care about anyone other than David, who was barely even in the book. The character of Blythe was kinda interesting and the ending was okay, though not enough to redeem the series.

There were parts that were funny, albeit few and far between. It wasn't a terrible book and I might even have liked it if it weren't for Harper, because most problems are in some way related to her.Either it's because of her being a sucky human beings or it's because she's a sucky human being who is also very prissy, and vain, and annoying, and selfish, and a control-freak, and inconsiderate, and-

*deep breath* I'm gonna stop now.

Overall, I'm glad to be done this whole shindig and I hope that [a:Rachel Hawkins|2261547|Rachel Hawkins|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1442494376p2/2261547.jpg]'s next book is more like [b:Hex Hall|5287473|Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1)|Rachel Hawkins|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1368393885s/5287473.jpg|5354884] than [b:Rebel Belle|8475505|Rebel Belle (Rebel Belle, #1)|Rachel Hawkins|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1371650817s/8475505.jpg|13340323].

It’s been a while since I finished two novels in one day. I loved the story, but it could have been a big standalone. The ending was …. No spoilers but damn I’m still missing a lot!!

[3.5 stars] I think I enjoyed this more than Miss Mayhem. (Rebel Belle will always be my favorite book, though!) This was a pretty solid conclusion to the trilogy, although the ending was predictable. The series sure was a fun ride overall.

After hearing not so great stories about the second and third book, I was a little reluctant to start them, but since the second book was great, I was really excited about this one. And I can assure you: This book never disappointed me and it was as good as I had hoped and expected it to be. But then again, when has Rachel Hawkins ever failed me?

During these three books Harper has really grown on me and following her on her adventure, looking for David, was therefore like being on a roadtrip with friends. I like how Harper is this nice mixture between really feminine, with loving dresses and make up and proms and cheerleading, while her also being badass and truly willing to fight for the things and people that are truly important to her. I rooted for her. I truly did.

And even though the plot, after having read quite a few Hawkins novels, was quite predictable, I did enjoy seeing everything unfold. All the pieces of the puzzles, a lot of them already handed out in the first book, came together in this novel and the ending was every bit the rollercoaster I was prepared for. I can see why some people won't like the ending, but I actually really did. It fit the story, it fit the characters and it fit the entire arc.

And like each and every Hawkins novel, the writing style is incredibly nice. I love how fast I can read these books without missing a word. It helps me to get in a nice flow and to forget the entire world, including annoying teenagers on the bus, around me.

It's a pity that the serie ended, but I think this ending was perfect and I wish all these characters I grew to love a beautiful and bright unknown future.

This was a decent wrap up of the series. It got a little campy near the end and it was easy to loose attention on the book itself. But I am glad I finished the series and I really enjoyed the way the author wrapped up the whole thing.

I felt like this series just went down hill. It had so much potential but in the end kinda fell flat. There wasn't as much humor as there was in the first two books which was kinda disappointing. In saying that though I actually didn't mind this book it just wasn't the best out of the trilogy.

Don't know why but I just didn't really like Harper as much in this book. In Lady Renegades I feel like she was being a lot more snobbier than usual and over all didn't like her attitude. I loved her a lot more in the first two books where she had some amazing one liners.

Blythe really surprised me. We didn't see her at all in Miss Mayhem so I assumed that she just up and left town but oh no bitches she's back. It took me a while to some what trust Blythe and when I was just starting to come to terms with her Harper decides to push her in the pool. Classic Harper.

Honestly this book wasn't that exciting and had a lot of plot holes. The only pieces of action we had were Bee and Harper consistently getting their asses kicked by crazy Paladin girls and the finale which wasn't as thrilling as I'd hoped. Harper was quite frankly useless in this novel because she lost her powers. according to her she couldn't fight at all now. Bullshit. Just because you lost your magical abilities doesn't mean you're automatically gonna be shit at fighting. Harper went through all those physical training's with Saylor so she should at least on instinct remember some of those skills and be physically fit. I mean she does do cheerleading and she's tried to save her best friend from Blythe and the crazy civilian's at Cotillion. That just made no sense to me. If it weren't for Blythe then Harper and Bee would've been screwed.

Honestly the plot was running dry because by the time we found David I'd lost my connection with him. We hadn't seen him in so long and I needed more of him in this book to enjoy it. And the whole thing with only male oracles going crazy is a bit far fetched. Honestly half of the information didn't connect. So your telling me that Blythe could now magically resurrect David but she couldn't drain his powers from him? Honestly resurrection seems a lot harder. I was also pissed off when Harper just walked out after killing David without a goodbye. She didn't even kiss him or break down in tears she just walked out. Okay...

Not gonna lie I kinda figured David would come back as the new student. I'm glad he's still alive but it's frustrating that Harper and David have to start their relationship all over again. David won't be able to remember all their funny memories together which kinda sucks.

Over all it was an average finale to this trilogy. I kinda feel like book three and two could've been combined because it really made the final book suffer. It was too short and not as exhilarating as I'd hoped. Had a little bit of humor and great character development for Blythe but that was about it. The ending was satisfying enough but won't be gaining a spot on my favourites.

Hmm, I don't what it was exactly about this one, but it just didn't have the same sparkle. It wasn't as funny, the action wasn't as exciting, and the plot didn't feel nearly as high stakes as a finale to this series should have felt. Review to come.

A little too easy at the end, but I don’t care. Those last few lines were worth it.

Compelling enough to read the whole way through, but overall a weak finish to a promising series.
