This was a cute book about all of the fun you can have at the library! I loved this book, and my kids enjoyed it, too! My daughter asked so many questions about everything in this book!
Such a cute story!

I'm never sure how to feel about stories that are better sung than read, but this one was very cute. I loved seeing so many popular book characters make an appearance, and I liked the celebration of libraries and books!

The Library Book by Tom Chapin and Michael Mark
Listened to this story on a rainy day and love what it's all about.
There is a song also included about the library book.
Starts out with a rainy day and what ever will the kids do. They head to the library and do certain things there that make them happy.
Rhyming story and silly things they find.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Reading the book it has a lot of rhythm and rhyme to it, even without hearing the song. I was a little disappointed that the song is not available to just listen to like a lot of the picture books I've come across recently with a song that goes along with it.
I think it was a lot of fun to try and recognize all the different storybook characters shown throughout the pages. Of course some are names in the story, but someone are only drawn so definitely something that makes me want to revisit the book and spend more time with it.

When I was a kid I used to envied Mathilda so hard. You're telling people could go to these magical places with millions and millions of books and just be able to pick what they wanted? I would have probably looked just like the kid in this story if I had been able to have access to a library. Kids (and adults) should have that opportunity.
