This was the Winter book for Romanceopoly 2020.

Three favorite things
*The audiobook is so good and fun.

*All the discussion of gingerbread totally inspired me to look up new recipes for next holiday season.

*Favorite quotes:
Christmas magic would be super cool though. In any case, Christmas lust is definitely real because I've got a raging case of it.

"It's true I find you adorable. But as it turns out, I find your brand of adorable very, very sexy."

This is the best conversation I've ever had with my sister. In the entirety of my life. "What if Santa doesn't get it back in time to have it pressed? He can't pull an all-nighter delivering presents in a wrinkled suit as if he's on the sleigh ride of shame, Noel! Think of the children!" This time I break, and I start laughing. I laugh so hard I have to clutch my stomach and bend over so I don't pee. "You're a terrible person, Ginger. I hope you get a stocking full of coal." "Well," I sigh as I stand up straight again, shrugging, "I probably will now that you've got an in with Santa."

I liked the first one more maybe cause the characters already knew each other, but this was really great too, both mc are easy to love and their banter is so funny

I feel bad rating this the same as the first one because I felt it was better BUT I still don’t feel like this was a four star read. Also, I rated the other one last year and I’m way harder on books this year because I’ve read so much of the same over and over that I really value an original idea.
So this book…ugh. It was cute and a great light holiday read but it had some issues. First off I loved the hero, he was charming and sweet but also, very one dimensional. I feel like we didn’t get to know him at all. He was just a good looking British guy. This whole series seems to be in single pov from the FMCs perspective and it’s such a huge miss. We have no idea what the MMC thinks and feels. No insights into his personality. We are just trapped in the heroine’s head the whole time and it’s a kind of cringey place to be. Ginger is very awkward and a bit mean spirited. She hates Keller because he’s likeable. That’s the only thing I can determine. She’s suspicious of him because he’s nice to her. This book’s title does not fit with the story at all, he’s not a jerk, they aren’t rivals really. They are mostly friendly and have a tonne in common.
Anyway this was a short read and easy to get through if you can take a lot of cringey sexy elf references and some heavy second hand embarrassment on behalf of the FMC. If you like the great British bake off or shows like it, this will be up your alley. I enjoyed it but don’t get why this author wants to portray all her heroes in this series as jerks and yet each of them so far have been pretty decent guys.

Now I need the next one in this series!!

If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread was an adorable holiday book. Sad that it was so short because I definitely flew through it. Never mind that it was quite easy to ship Ginger and Keller after they first met. It was definitely love at first bite (gingerbread cookie style).

Now we met Ginger in the first book while her older sister was finding love with her boss. This time around we got to see Ginger and Keller give each other googly eyes while competing against one another. It was cute and I'm honestly really happy that they both lost the whole thing. Mostly because they could go and do their own thing together with their new business adventure. Definitely happy that they ended up together as well because they were so adorable.

The only thing I wish I got more of was the smutty stuff. The lovey eyes and feelings will only do so much for me. Anyhoo, on to the next one!

If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread - The hero and heroine are competing against each other on a Christmas baking show and I am here for it. For me, the pacing of this story worked best out of the collection, but I felt like the hero's personality was very similar to the first story. 4 stars.

Thanks to the author and Candi Kane PR for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

Audio: Erin Mallon narrates all three stories (and it's easy to find the separate stories in the Audible app.) She's not one of my favorite narrators, but I think she's better than most. 4 Stars.

Sweet and funny short story!

-short story
-M/F
-no cheating
-HEA
-one bedroom scene
-standalone
-insta lust/love

This was a cute Christmas short story! You have to remember that this is a SHORT story, meaning the relationship will progress quickly. If you’re not a fan of that, don’t read this.

The writing style was excellent and there was a few laugh out loud moments. Our main characters are both bakers/chefs who meet while in Reindeer Falls for a baking competition and quickly progress from there. I was looking for a light-hearted quick read after reading a dark romance series, and this hit the spot! Took maybe an hour to read.
