Did I read this in less than 12 hours while at work today? Absolutely
Do I have regrets? Absolutely not!
I love Paige Lavoie, favorite author of all time, and I just love Heather and Moth together and their love story.

I adore I’m in love with Mothman, and this book is equally fun! It has all the charm, cuteness and adorable moments that you expect from the series. I did however feel like everything was kept really surface level, and the ending was kind of forced.

With everything that heather went through with the kidnapping it felt like we should have gotten at least a more in depth look at her trauma than one conversation with Moth. It felt like something that was tacked on instead of something that should have been meaningfully looked at. As well, could have done without the third act breakup that once again lasted three seconds, and the super obvious miscommunication at the end. It all felt so unnatural instead of just a nice conversation between moth and heather.

All that to say, was this book sometimes not the best in terms of execution? Absolutely. Was this a very fun and light hearted read that I will be reading again? 100%. Worth picking up if you want something light, fun and lots of cute moments.

Heather (h) and Moth's (H) story continues, taking a leap from the familiar woods into the enchanting fae realm of Eclipsica. The shift to a fantasy setting offered the opportunity to explore Moth's origins, fragmented memories, family dynamics, and the complexities of royal life. The romance between Heather and Moth remains a highlight, offering tender moments and growth amidst the challenges they face. Heather's chronic illness and her struggles with insecurities and anxieties felt relatable and added depth to her character. Her occasionally cringy language did annoy me at times, as did the miscommunication trope between Heather and Moth - I'd hoped by the second book that would be over with. It was an enjoyable continuation of the series, and hopefully things will be better with the next book.

I watched a TikTok about how someone hated the first one and thought Heather was annoying, couldn't be me. I loved our trip to the fae world of Moth. I do wish they were better at communicating through out the story but they were both going through a world of trauma. Heather was fucking killed and Moth is reliving lost traumatic memories. I'm very excited for the next one, we will be getting Moth's perspective of this wedding!
