So this was better than the Wraith novel, and I figured that this series was going to start going down hill, but the fact that the new brother and sister are part human makes them different enough that the story changes quite a bit.

I liked Idess, I think shes one of my favorite female characters so far.

I really liked Idess and Lore's story. The only problem I had was how fast they got together. From the time they met until the time they bonded was like 4-5 days. It seemed longer with all the action in the book but that is the actual time line. I think maybe some more build would have been interesting. The Assassin's Guild wasn't to spectacular a spot either. It felt pretty one dimensional. Althought the tiger shifter Sumil was pretty cool.
I really liked Lore and Sin and the storyline with the other Sem bros was really great.
SpoilerI'm glad they finally did away with Roag. It was getting super tiresome always having him be the bad guy. Azagoth was way rad! I'm really interested in him as a character and I hope he will be in future books.

I was happy to finally meet Sin.
SpoilerLore's twin sister and only female Seminus demon in existence, EVER!
She seems like a really interesting character and I'm interested in how her story will play out next.

4 stars - It was really good

Lore has been given the task of killing a special target otherwise his sister Sin will be killed, but if he does this he will lose the brothers he just found, and destroy the beautiful protector his target has. Now the situation seems to be destroying the Sem brothers' relationship and destroying UGH again.

Lore was introduced in the previous book as another sibling of the Sem brothers. Sadly, he is not free to do what he wants though because he is a slave for an assassin guild. His new mission puts him between a rock and a hard place and he doesn’t know what to do about it. While he is struggling with what to do he finds himself slowly falling in love with an angel who is determined to keep him from his kill. I really liked Lore. He does what he has to to survive but he doesn’t like it. He is very protective of his sister and even though he doesn’t know them very well, that protection has extended to his brothers now.

Idess is an earthbound angel who is sworn to protect the human life Lore is after. She finds that the closer she gets to him the more she likes him, and wants to be with him. Idess has spent her life reaching for Heaven but after she meets Lore she realizes how much life has passed her by. She hasn’t been living and now she wants to experience it all with Lore, but first they have to deal with the assassin contract. Idess was a great heroine. She was deadly and had hidden abilities but also a bit sheltered because of all the restrictions placed on angels.

This was a great continuation of the overarching plot. The enemy wasn’t really a surprise but it was very interesting seeing how they did damage to the Sem brothers. There were also some new characters that were introduced in this one and I really can’t wait to see how they play into the overall story, especially Azagoth. Overall, this was a great addition and I can’t wait to read Sin’s story.

Trigger Warnings: torture, brief mentions of rape, slavery

I left this series to get some air but I have dived right back in and love it to death. I love how Idessa was willing to give up everything for Lore. I just hope that the last one is going to be just as good as everything else has been.

Best of the series so far. Came back to Larissa's books after a hiatus, and this was a wonderful way to come back to them. Really solid story. Not as much sex as the previous books. Really well-drawn characters and an engaging plot line. Nice.

What i love about this book is the demon-angel love affair. I am moved by what Idess sacrificed for Lore, but i was mostly concerned of Lore's baggage. I mean, he was an assassin even though not by choice, and he had conflicts with his sister. I thought it would all go the wrong way. But oh well. after all the twists and turns of the book (i was definitely not thrilled when Shade went all antsy), they all came through. Action packed and realllly steamy =)

Yeah, another fantastic read! These two went through a heck of a ride, and yeah, it's not stopping for Sin, until her book finishes! Must reread more!

*First read July 9th, 2015*
Such a great book, loved getting Lore and Idessa's story, and I can't wait to read more!

This one made me like the series a bit more because of sin and lore. Their personalities made the book for me because without them it would have been the same old thing. And now that all thee brothers are mated, them being family oriented kind of made them a bit less exciting lol but it also made me appreciate them a little bit more. 4 stars to sin and lore
