This is a very important read, for those living in “Canada” as well as across Turtle Island and beyond, to understand the effects of our global lives on Indigenous communities. Clayton writes with his heart on his sleeve and leaves all his thoughts on the page. I found the structure and the writing to be less engaging at times, hence why I didn’t rate it higher.

An indigenous memoir - this feels like multiple lives. So much to unpack and read. Also such an amazing story of holding on to life. A story that describes indigenous experience in Canada specifically in Winnepeg. Also a story of activism and finding spirit
