The best out of the trilogy. I LOVED this book, so many twists and turns and a great end to the trilogy

What a romp. Thoroughly enjoyed. This book got me through my tonsillitis bedrest.

This series was incredibly well written, I absolutely loved listening to all the audiobooks. The characters are so realistic & relatable & human, the descriptions of things/environments were so detailed i felt like i was watching a movie rather than just listening to an audiobook, and everything wrapped up so nicely in the end 🄹 I LOVED THIS SERIES & I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS BOOK.
That being said, I don’t think I will read another Holly Black book until I can consume the story without getting so incredibly angry with the characters’ decisions. The Cruel Prince series feels like nonstop cruelty/shock value/distress, but that clearly made way for a super sweet ending :) Still - Holly, I hope you can fight.
Making me believe Jude killed her beloved high king, the lovely Carden, right after they FINALLY embraced each other is ridiculously diabolical.

If you're looking for a story about the darker side of the fairy courts, this is the book to read. Many books that I read about the fry tend to leave me feeling like it's an unrealistic relationship, the heroine can change the flawed fairy prince. Holly Blackthorn however has created two characters, both flawed, who make questionable decisions. I don't feel that Jude was trying to make Cardan a good person, and I don't feel that Cardan was trying to turn Jude evil. They both are morally flawed characters. And I like that. I do feel that the story didn't have all the twists and turns of the first book, I think it was a satisfying conclusion to this series.
