I'm surprised by how enjoyable this book was. I always lumped talk show hosts in with used car salesmen, but this book taught me a lot in a very digestible way. The conversational style wasn't too bad, either.

I don’t write reviews of books often (ever); that being said, this is a must read.

Maybe I am biased but I have been a huge fan of Dr. Bruce Perry’s work. I also read this from a lens trying to understand myself, people in my life and those I’ve worked with rather than just for information.

I found this book super informative and I really liked how Dr. Perry used examples from his work to put the “science speak” into context. I liked seeing different models and found the information learned will help shift my view when trying to understand challenging behaviours.
