I actually really liked how different it was from the anime (which I first saw about 10 years ago). It was like reading a completely different story. However, the translation didn't seem very good, which is why I'm subtracting a star.

I genuinely love this manga some parts are fast but that is genuinely my pace.

It was okay, I did enjoy the read, but at the moment it's feels kinda rushed and fast paced, Shuichi's friend and sister makes some comments that I'm not fond of, Eiri can come off too aggressive, but at this point in my experience of reading bl, I'm used to it, at least he stops when told to and most of what he does I believe is because he's trying to scare off the main boy, get him to reveal the "real" reason he's hanging around and because he's used to that being what people want from him.

He doesn't seem to fully believe Shuichi just wants him for him and to be fair, I wouldn't either if I were in his shoes, homeboi doesn't even know anything about him yet and is claiming to be smitten.

Pretty hard to believe, but enough about that, so remember when I said it was fasted paced? Well another thing is that some times it also felt kinda over the place, one moment we're here at this scene thenext we're somewhere else and it's weird cause I don't think that the first scene was properly dealt with.

So that was pretty off putting and kinda confusing (possibly just me though I'll scroll through reviews and c4 myself xD)

Now as for the side characters, to me some of them were more entertaining than the mains, but hopefully that changes in the later Volumes, I mean it kinda does in Vol 2 (I already finished it by the time I am writing this review) so let us see in Vol 3 and onward.

The jokes and stuff that I mentioned about Shuichi's friend and sister making were r*pe and gang r*pe this is also done in volume 2, I don't mind dark humor, I have one myself, but these felt like they were poorly made given the circumstances (could be over thinking it they are close so it probably doesn't matter and they are young take that as you will).

That's pretty much all I can think of so see you in the next Volumes maybe?

This was just too sweet and cutesy for me. Maybe shonen- ai is just not my thing. Also WHY ARE ALL THE GUYS DRAWN EXACTLY THE SAME?!

It's been years since I've read Gravitation. I'm not a yaoi fan, but gave the series a try after much persuasion from my best friend.

I gave the first volume three stars when I first read it, and I guess the first volume was still ok, but the whole series only deserves one star, in my opinion. It starts out funny enough, but after a while "whacky" turns into full-blown insane; the characters and their motivations are completely unintelligible and the plot is convoluted and not worth following. The relationship between Shindou and Yuki can only be called abusive and disturbing, and not in an interesting way. I only finished it because I had gotten the whole series for free and I can't recommend this at all.

(Written after reading the first volume: "This was one of the series mentioned the most when I started reading shonen ai/yaoi, so when I saw the whole thing was available in a bookswap, I didn't hesitate much. It's pretty cracky, but really funny. I would like it better if the characters looked a little older, but since it's a comedy and doesn't seem to aim to be either realistic or hot it doesn't bother me as much.")

I like Shuichi and his friends, but Yuki is just so mean. He's such an *sshole ... um, mean person that I was uncomfortable reading the stuff he says to Shuichi. I'm still undecided about reading volume 2 ... we'll see.

This has been sitting on my shelf for a few years. I just now got around to reading it. It wasn’t bad. I’m sure it is better as an anime though.

I find it nice to have a cannon gay (or at least bi/pan) character. Who he falls in love with isn’t the most desirable outcome but there’s not many choice to pick from. Characters all have similar style to them, be it there hair length, color, or style. They all seem to have similar personalities too.

Yuri and Mika don’t really look like siblings to me. If anything Mika and her husband do.
