Okay. Interesting. The vibes were very much dark academia but there were also a lot of “what the hell is going on here” moments…very sinister, lesbian, party-core, confusing, entrancing.
im in shock. i didn’t know what i expected but it wasn’t this. i liked this book a lot, but there were times when i fell asleep (as a consequence of my messed up sleeping schedule) so i might have missed some details while reading this. i need to reread this someday. (maybe during autumn?). i loved the witchy, thriller aspect of it. i loved the way it was narrated from felicity’s perspective and how i didnt know what was real and what was not until the very end. the reason i chose to started reading this book was because i knew it had sapphic characters in it. needless to say, i was not disappointed. i would definitely recommend this to people. my only critique is that the ending felt really anticlimactic. overall it was great, and im happy that i can give this book 4 stars.
I was going to give it a 5-star review before I got to the end because I was really enjoying this book. However, for me, the end was rushed and not what I was hoping for. What’s the point in creating a whole background for the character, of making her obsessed with magic, and the idea of being haunted if in the end is not going to matter that much?

There was a lot of buildup but it led to nothing really. I spent the whole book waiting for the twist and I think the author was too cause there was like no plot. The magic aspect and the truth about the Dalloway Five should have been explored more.
