As other reviewers have mentioned, there’s a lot of insight and depth here. I’m talking heaping scoops of unfiltered Naval-ness surging toward you in a loosely edited stream of consciousness.
If I was only reviewing the ideas, I’d give it a solid 5 stars. But someone took the time to turn Naval’s philosophy into a book, and as a book this feels more like a rough draft than a finished work.

There something I have always wondered about one my favorite reading materials, Meditations by Marcus Aurelius - what if it was written, not by the most powerful man on Earth, but by a common Joe? I felt Naval almanack felt quite close to what I think would be such a common Joe's Meditations.
So many things to like about the book and the man behind the book. Naval started out as a poor Indian boy but made it big. But despite being a big VC his voice retains the common touch. He has held to his principles. He is honest about his inspirations and does not try to make himself look wise on borrowed words. I though it was particularly apt when he said "Money won't solve all your problems but money will solve all of your money problems". He asks people to be patient, work smart not hard, is bluntly honest and talks in a matter of factly tone.
Odd that a good book is available for free.

Pros:
- signal over noise
- immediate disclaimer in the beginning of the book that the reader shouldn’t automatically internalize all of the thoughts without critiquing them, it leads to complacency
- focuses on ETHICAL wealth creation and formalizes ideas like leverage, authenticity, accountability, ownership, etc.
- focuses in PEACE in the second half of the book, both with oneself and the world at large
- places incredible emphasis on the major fundamental skills: reading, writing, speaking, mathematics, programming
- feels like an experienced person formalizing and articulating the wisdom he has gained over the years
- timeless advice
Cons:
- some thoughts require more details and rigorous evaluation
- could’ve benefited from visual representation like graphs or charts (especially in the wealth section)

I’ve followed Naval for years on Twitter. He has the keenest ability to condense wisdom and insights into such short statements. This book is a collection of those insights, focused on happiness and wealth. I loved it. One of those books I will continue coming back to to consult throughout life, I think.
Enjoyed it. Some things are quite obvious, but I feel like even common things need to be refreshed from time to time. I had some questions stuck in my head before reading and I feel like I have them answered. Not directly, but because I was pondering over some quotes in the book. So it was a bonus for me
