These are getting harder and harder to review, because they all feel the same now *sighs*
Nothing really happened. The cats were still recovering after the big battle at the end of the last book, and there was little to no action at all in this one? Just more of the same. I really don't like the Dark Forest story line at all, I'm ready for it to be over honestly.
I'm glad that Ivypaw finally saw how terrible Tigerstar was, so there's one bonus. I don't really know why the Flametail story line was relevant, though. I didn't really care about his chapters because they didn't seem to add anything to the story.
It's not that I didn't enjoy it, I still love the world of the Clans. But it feels like a totally different story now, like it's just being drawn out. Makes me sad.

This book was shorter than the first two of Omen of the Stars but I think it was almost better than the first two!
At the beginning Ivypaw and Dovepaw were having huge issues with their own stupid jealous ideas. But towards the end they started to fix it.
Poor Flametail.
Even though Blackstar is not one of my favorites, I can clearly see his leadership's skills. I'm actually impressed with him.

I think this book was very good. The power of the dark forest rises and Ivypaw FINALLY got to realise that she is used by the dark forest warriors to fight against the warrior code and the clans. otherwise I am really exited for the previous book part 4

Tension remains between ThunderClan and ShadowClan after their battle. StarClan goes to the medicine cats and tells them that the Clans must entirely separate from one another, even to the extent of the medicine cats breaking their unique bonds. Ivypaw finally realizes the true intentions of the Dark Forest cats, and she becomes a spy, continuing to go, but only to learn more about their sinister plans. This book seems like mostly setup for the following books of the arc, but it was still a very enjoyable read.
The chapters featuring Flametail are a nice change of pace. The scene where the ShadowClan cats play on the frozen lake is unique, and it's nice to get a glimpse into normal life within other Clans.

Spoiler
Flametail falls through the ice and is killed, which seems like a really unnecessary event, but it was nicely written.
