I really HATED how Nash manipulated Lina through sex, forcing her and pressuring her to be his girlfriend, move in with him, make a life with him. UGH.
Lina was great (except for that one random scene WHAT WAS THAT). But can we PLEASE stop with proposals after a week or two of dating? This isn't regency!
That high rating (and yes, it's high considering the shit I read) is for one pairing and one pairing only.
"Sloane, in a rust-colored gown with a full skirt, floated toward us looking like a forest fairy. Her blond hair was swept up and back. A headband of white blossoms perched on her head. She kept her eyes straight ahead until she got to us.
Then she gave Knox a watery smile filled with so much love and hope. I heard Lucian’s sharp intake of breath behind me and wondered if seeing that smile had pierced through his armor somehow."
and
"Lucian stood with red-rimmed eyes, looking like his heart had been shattered into pieces. But he wasn’t looking at the bride and groom. He was looking past them at Sloane, who was openly crying."
ONLY THEY ARE WORTH THE PAIN AND ANNOYANCE I WENT THROUGH TO READ THIS SERIES DAMMIT. Lucian is THE male character I want to read about. He's THE BEST. Much better than Nash or Knox!

I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed this book!
Nash reminded me so much of Cade from Chestnut Springs!
It was such a fun instalment. I loved the relationship progression between Nash & Lina and that nothing is perfect. Just a really great small town romance and I can’t wait to read the last one 🥰

I love Lucy Score's writing, but I really don't care about anything in this book. I think it's because I read the first so long ago, and I'm not rereading it.
I enjoyed this book so much. I see myself in Nash and can understand some of what he was dealing with. I laughed, cried, got irritated, and swooned. I thought the pace of the book was great, I love getting to see another side of this town that we all love, and now I CANNOT wait to read Lucian and Sloane’s story!!! The build up between those 2 is already so hot

No one does it better then Lucy Score! If Knockemout were a real place, I would pack up my house and move there tomorrow! I never want to leave this world!
This is one of my most anticipated reads of this year, I loved the first book soooo much and I couldn't wait to get to Nash and Lina's story. It did not disappoint and if I am being totally honest, I loved it even more then the first book! This book is nonstop entertainment. I was either swooning, laughing, or fanning my face the entire book.!
Lina is just an FMC after my own heart. I can't even articulate properly how much I love her. She is so badass, independent and so damn funny! Her freak outs over her relationship with Nash had me keeled over with laughter and all her sass and witty come backs and her friendships with the other characters was perfection.
Nash. This MAN! This vulnerable, sweet, simping, infuriating, stubborn, pain in the ass man! I love him. He is so perfect for Lina. I loved how the story showed him dealing with PTSD and how he comes to terms with his past. And the dog!!!! The romance is so, so good. That epilogue was EVERYTHING! Yes, I totally cried!
The reason these books are so good besides the crazy good romance, are the external relationships! -The girls! Naomi, Sloane and Lina steal the show with their friendship, I laughed so hard with them and all of their many antics throughout the book. (boozy girls time, Halloween)
- Stef and Lina working out together with the senior citizens.
-The soccer game!
-The town in everyone's business
Now I have to just countdown the days until we get Lucien and Sloanes book! Also, am I the only one that really hopes she writes a book for Stef and Jeremiah?!
