I enjoyed this book so much. I see myself in Nash and can understand some of what he was dealing with. I laughed, cried, got irritated, and swooned. I thought the pace of the book was great, I love getting to see another side of this town that we all love, and now I CANNOT wait to read Lucian and Sloane’s story!!! The build up between those 2 is already so hot

Meh. Easy read. Lucy Score's writing is funny and flows well. It's easy to follow along. The plot lacked depth, which was surprising to me, since this is the second book of the Knockemout trilogy. I thought there would be more.
It was hard connecting with Lina and Nash.
I knew what I was getting into since I read the first book, and honestly, I've been putting this one off for a couple months, but here I am. Once again, the book is entirely too long, but it’s a fun read. I just found myself skimming through at one point. It started to pick up about 60% in. The first half was honestly a snooze fest. I really enjoy slow burns, but, this wasn't it. It was filled with fluff and nonsense. However, if you take it for what it is and enjoy fluffy reads, then this will be a fun read for you!

I did enjoy the first book in this series. I did think it was about 200 pages too long. Some details really didn’t need to be included.

Lucy Score has a very descriptive writing style and it’s not for everybody.

Spoilers ~

I was a little confused toward the resolution of the book.
Lina has a heart condition that is mentioned multiple times throughout the book yet when bullets are flying at her it is not mentioned at all. There were some things that just did not follow through to the end. The story felt a little sloppy and rushed to me in some areas.

I did see a big change in Nash’s character from the first book to the second but that is explained away by him being shot. I do see a lot of people saying his PTSD is not really delt with. All I’m gonna say is this man really could have benefited from at least going to therapy or something. Or maybe touching on some things he did learn if he did do therapy like the book said.

I will say Lucian & Solan have been my most anticipated read for this series.
