”man blir bara nedstämd av att tänka på alla som arbetar och gnor och vad det blir av alltsammans. jag hade en släkting som läste trigonometri tills morrhåren slokade på honom och när han hade lärt sig alltihop kom en mårra och åt upp honom. ja, där låg han sen i mårrans mage och va så klok!”

precis som muminpappan känner jag ofta den där djupa känslan av att inget egentligen spelar någon roll. att allt jag gör är meningslöst, ett tidsfördriv eller en distraktion från vad livet verkligen är. en nedstämdhet som är så total att det ibland är svårt att göra något över huvud taget.

Urm so honestly I feel like it's not really fair on how I'm rating it because I'm not really familiar with the moomin characters buy I honestly felt that this book was very confusing and I didn't really know what was happening due to the amount of characters that was here and after a while it was a bit hard to keep track. As well as I wished they let us know like why the muddle and the joxter and hodkins and their wives just left their kids with moominpappa? Like um... as well as like why did moominpappa not tell their lids that they had mothers? Are we just going to look part that casually? Anyways other than that, I think the book was lovely and I'm quite interested in going down the moomin rabbit hole but maybe not yet as despite how short the book was it felt really really long and that I just spent an entire year with the moomins.
