Okkkk it took me a hot second to piece this together. It was feeling all over the place. But once I did, I couldn’t put it down. All the plot twists, deceit. I 10/10 did not expect this ending.
Technically would rate 3.5. Was good but not great in my opinion
This is my 2nd book by this author and all I can say as I am hooked!!! So many twist and turns! I absolutely loved it! I did not guess that ending at all!! I was booked from page one! So we’ll written!
I was so invested in this from the start. Why doesn’t she remember any of her relationships or memories with friends? Why won’t she look in a mirror? Something happened when Jaicey was 15 and life changed for her and her family. Jaicey has scars deeper than what’s on the outside. I kept wondering WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!?
And then WHAM, there it is. Holy
And then WHAM, there it is. Holy
This was a quick and fast book, and interesting enough to keep me listening. It read more like a YA book, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just not what I was expecting. I liked that the author tried to mix things up by not telling what happened to Jaicey until later in the book, but it made me less invested/interested in her.

This book was a very easy and fast paced read, but it left a lot to desire. I felt like it really fell flat for me throughout the entire book.
I was able to figure out who was involved not far into the book so it left no surprise for me.
This book follows a senior in high school who went through something traumatic at a younger point in her life. She meets a new kid in school who assists in getting her to remember what exactly had happened all those years ago.
This main female character is a senior in high school, I had no way of really connecting with her. She was very cold and standoffish throughout the entire book…and even though she isn’t trusting of anyone…it only takes her a few weeks to fall for a guy she just met and knows nothing about…i just can’t relate!
I normally really enjoy this authors books, but this one was just not for me. I have difficulty reading any books where they take place in a school setting.

This quick audiobook had me guessing at every turn, and I couldn't stop listening.

The introduction of a mysterious stranger adds an intriguing layer to the narrative. He becomes Jaicey's potential ally in uncovering the truth, but the question of trust looms large. As Jaicey unravels the clues, she delves into her own memories, unearthing darkness she never expected.
Full of suspense, keeping readers hooked with each revelation. The urgency intensifies as Jaicey fights for her life, compelled to relive a traumatic night. Secrets emerge, deeper and darker than imagined, and time ticks away, ratcheting up the tension.
