2.5 Stars - In someways it was better than [b:A Marked Man|13447566|A Marked Man (Assassin/Shifter, #1)|Sandrine Gasq-Dion|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1329003534s/13447566.jpg|18964525], there was less sex - at least in the first half - and both characters stayed true to their personalities. I just never really connected with them. It was instsa-love, which is fine to make a connection, but I just felt they really had nothing in common to keep them together other than they both thinking the other beautiful. There was the "magic penis" (as I saw someone refer to it) where they magically never got soft and came a gazillion times in an hour. Many of these things I give leeway for in a paranormal as it isn't true to life, but so far, no paranormals here.
SpoilerThey do reveal themselves in the last paragraph of the second to last chapter, though you do wonder what the heck kind of wolves they got in Alaska before then.
I was hoping for more from a series so highly rated. I didn't even end the book going, "well that was ridiculous but fun, let's try the next one" I'm just done.

BTW Grown men chuckle; little girls and boys giggle! I might even be ok if men giggled (once!) if being tickled, but not all the time!!!

Addiction! Pure addiction! I can see myself devouring this entire series in the not-so-distant future. Guilty pleasure reads, for sure ;)

I enjoyed this one less than the first book ; I didn't really connect with the main characters and I wasn't really happy how the shifters were introduced.

Another book that I’m not sure why I had on the back burner for so long. I loved the first book and this one was just as good! Not as action-packed, but sweet, sexy, and a GFY (a huge plus in my book!) Mark and Josh are a hot combo and I loved how they came together (not how they met!) I also loved how we finally got the Shifter part of the Assassin/Shifter series. And in such a sly way, too. Must continue with the series now.

I liked this one more. I thought the link between Mateo and Mark was a good move. Mark had a hard row to hoe. Poor guy.

Loved it

Absolutely loved this book and learning more about the characters. Such a great fluffy romance with a great plot to go with it.

I hated how it started because I don't want anyone to have to go through what Mark did.

Josh sees Mark and he just knows his life is never going to be the same. I liked how he struggled with his feelings because if he had been oh its all fine and dandy I would have wanted to throw the book away.

But he didn't and he had to take time, and so did Mark he needed time to come to terms with what happened to him but also to see that he had true feeling for Josh.

Good narration for this one too!
Now I want Dakota's story.
