If you like Halsey's music, you should 100% read her book of poetry. Some of my favorites were Guts, Everything, Fun Girl, and A Story Like Mine. Highly recommend.

Certainly the best of the celebrity and Instagram poets, which isn’t too generous of a complement. Halsey certainly isn’t lazy and has some rich interesting topics, but needs a bit more finesse.
I’m particularly impressed with her ability to use very jarring purposefully uncomfortable metaphors, and she has song like rhythms in some pieces. Nevertheless, seems like she doesn’t have much knowledge of form, and some of her rhyming seems juvenile.

Halsey is a very talented lyricist, but I do think this would be a book best listened to instead of read on paper. It seems obvious that a lot of these poems were conceptualized as songs instead of as written poems specifically, and they didn't translate as well into a written format.
Some of the poems do have some really beautiful vulnerability and perspective into the author's challenges and traumas throughout life. I personally also liked seeing the inclusion of some songs that were either published before or after this poetry collection.
It wasn't my favourite poetry collection but, like others have said, I think Halsey fans would enjoy.

I love everything Halsey has ever written I think. Due date and Fun Girl are my favourite poems in the collection, the only parts I'm not a massive fan of are the poems where its just lyrics to their released songs
