A very good book, very interesting and the testimonials were all very interesting and informative.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone struggling with the loss of a loved one.

I really enjoyed this book. I never exactly feared death, but I guess I never understood it enough to decide how I felt about it, even though I’ve been religious my entire life. I liked how scientific and warm it was. They may seem like opposites, but Raymond Moore created a really nice judgement free place to share stories that would otherwise seem crazy and fake.

Compilation of near-death experiences collected by the author -- not a scientific survey, but some interesting material.

I agree that I was sceptic about the book from the beginning, very much unsure it would be upto my liking; and my doubts turned out to be true. The author talks about death and spiritual experiences related to it; but surprisingly not from a personal level. The book claims more than it provides, over-selling something it thinks worth selling. Maybe someday if I personally have a near-death experience I would be more sympathetic towards the book, but till then 'NO'! People are so concerned with death experiences while they should first learn to live properly. After death what one does or feels matters to no one as it doesn't help anyone in the world but themselves.. We don't need more of self-help in this world there's already loads.

Life after Life offers hope, comfort & insight to anyone who chooses to read it. It details the extraordinary stories of individuals who were pronounced clinically dead, yet survived.

In a way, I felt I needed this book. My biggest fear is death and from speaking to other people about this, especially people my own age, I know I don’t ponder death the ‘normal’ amount. If anything can help alleviate my regular feelings of existential dread, I’ll take it.

I’m not one to be easily convinced. I’m not sure I believe everything I’ve read within the pages but rather, have interpreted my own meaning from the stories combined. That being said, Moody makes a compelling and well founded argument while also addressing the counter arguments people may offer. If anything, it has made me less sceptical of the possibility of an afterlife. It has left me hopeful and less terrified of what may or may not lie ahead.

In terms of rating, I thought it would be a solid 4 stars but around the half way mark, the encounters left me in awe and filled with an undeniable sense of hope. I knew then that scoring it anything but 5 stars, would be disingenuous.

One of those books that is going to leave a lasting impact on me.
Every single word of it might be a lie or it could the truest thing I’ve ever read. Either way, I’m all the better for having read it.

i think i dissociated during the duration that i read this book lol

perhaps, i’m still reluctant to come to terms that there is, or might be, life after death because it is far easier to live with no obligation to a higher form of judgement to speak for my actions.

additionally, it is self-admitted by the author to be lukewarm in its conclusion, or lack of. in a typical sense, the book is by no means scientific but masquerades itself as one and thus, for there to be frustration on the reader’s end is admittedly expected. however, in some way, it is understandable and pragmatic by choosing not to determine a conclusion though it is very much desired. it isn’t presumptuous and merely presents facts and rebuttals wherever appropriate, that which i greatly appreciate.
