I was hoping I'd love this as much as The Kiss Countdown, and while I did like it, it wasn't as good. I just wanted a lil more from the story. But the romance was okay, the forced proximity handled well (Mars simulation!!), we got more space facts (yay), and it was funny.
Though at times Brianna and Roman seemed unbalanced in their attraction, she definitely liked him more than he liked her. I wish we got to peek inside his head so we'd know if that's really the case. I also feel like their relationship is based more on lust than love, and I don't think I truly got to know either of them as characters.
But maybe this is just a one-off, and Etta Easton's next book will be great like the first. Fingers crossed.

Short Synopsis:
Brianna is the Vice Principal of her school. But when I he principal takes the library funding away without her knowledge, Brianna signs up for a six-week Mars simulation where the winning team gets money for the school. The downside? The principal’s sexy son is also on the simulation.
My Thoughts:
This was a cute romcom! I loved the unique plot with Mars Simulation and the forced proximity of Brianna and Roman. They had cute banter and an obvious connection.
What You’ll Find:
Forced Proximity
Science + Space
He falls first
Forbidden romance
Teacher + Vice Principal

I love a good romance novel, and I recognize that often as readers, we have to suspend our disbelief. However, this plot was absolute nonsense. Still a cute book, but the preposterousness of it all really took me out of it.

This book made me wish I could read a book actually set on mars. I like get it for this book but the characters really didn't have a ton of chemistry and the ending really pissed me off and was just way too dramatic.
Ooooh I loved this. I instantly loved Brianna and connected with her. I love her passion, her personality, her humor. Also the set up of the Mars simulation was absolutely fascinating and so well done. And I love how we learned so much about Roman alongside Bri, as she slowly loses we assumptions about him. The romance was quite adorable and the locked room, have to keep it secret but everyone is watching, atmosphere really turned up the heat. I had so much fun reading this book!
Note: I listened to the audiobook and it was fab!
