Such a great read

You know, this was good. Enjoyable even. But what really ruined this for me was the ending. I’m not saying to not read it, but the ending just didn’t give what it should’ve given.

What an absolutely unhinged book

This is one of my favorite books I've read this year! It is a very eerie and atmospheric book. It has a really good amount of spooky moments that make this book intriguing and the writing is able to pull you right into the story. This was spectacular! Special Thank You to Lisa M Matlin, Random House Publishing, and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Good thriller, had me hooked quickly.

Decent for a thriller, would have never guessed the “twist” despite trying to figure it out the entire read, but I hated the narrator so it made it not as enjoyable to get through for me.

I haven't read a book this quickly in a long time! I love the twist and turns. I love the little twists at the end. And I love to hate the main character. Really, it's such an interesting, fresh take on a suspense book. Perfect for the start of spooky season.

This was such a dang good debut novel. I’ve been sitting on writing this review because I just feel like I couldn’t put into words what I was feeling. But I love when books make me feel this way.

I also listened to this audio and you could literally feel Sarah going crazy. You felt every single emotion. The unreliable narrator aspect really worked for this book.

There were so many twists and turns in this book that you think you know where it’s going but bam, it throws another wrench in the mix.

I will say the ending was a little eh, for me. However I completely never would have guessed it. Such a fun, quick read

I will for sure pick up other reads from this author!

Objectively, this book is great. It also made me realize I don’t like thrillers, I like mysteries. This book felt like a classic psychological horror movie, and there’s a reason I’ve never been a huge fan of the genre. If you do love horrors/thrillers, you’ll love this.

I am between like and love on this. I loved it until it got to the end. The ending was very strange, which is fine, but it felt rushed and so weird. But it was very thrilling in the scare factor.

It was a bit slow at the start, but then it picked up and it was so good I didn't want to put it down. But there was a sudden change in the book. I did not see a lot of this coming and it can definitely be contributed to the unreliable narrator. The way it was told you felt like you were also descending into madness. And while the ending definitely changes my disappointment on how I thought it was going to end it was so open ended and I wanted more and more answers, so it gave me ambivalent, complicated feelings.
