This was an engaging story about friendship. The individual stories of Evvie, Maggie and Topher are full of emotion and it was a pleasure to get to know these characters. Their friendship evolves as their lives change throughout 30 years, and it was wonderful to see how each character deals with the changes. It does have parts that drag but the overall story makes up for those parts. Great book and highly recommend!

I really liked it but some parts of the book were too "perfect".

I think I’ve outgrown Jane Green. Loved the first part, the rest was just meh.

This book was a quick easy read. Nothing earth shattering. I could predict where most of it was going. But that was ok. I might be in the minority at book club. But it was an ok 3 for me.

I almost put this book down with no intentions of picking it back up. After five chapters in it finally started to get interesting.

Three friends meeting in college and of course promised to be life long friends. However, all their paths go a different direction and they lose touch over the years.

Then as life would have it events eventually bring them back together. However it is not a happily ever after event and secrets are exposed of betrayal amongst their circle.

This was my first Jane Green book. I will consider reading over books by her.

This story follows three characters and their friendship throughout the years. It’s amazing to see how friendships change throughout the years. The friendship consisted on two women and one man. It was so refreshing to read a book about friendships, and all the things they had to go through.

Evvie, Maggie, and Topher were the best of friends and roommates at University, and started to drift apart as the years go on. They made a pact when they turned 50 if they were still alone they would all live together again. Each has had a curve ball thrown at them during their life. Can the friends become as close as they once were?

The story follows the perspective of each of the characters throughout the years. Which is something I loved. The story really shows you true friendships and what happens when you keep secrets from one another. I would recommend this book to others to read!

Jane Green is one of my go-to authors so of course I couldn't pass up the chance to read her newest book! The Friends We Keep spoke to me as soon as I saw the cover. I was delighted by this story of three friends who meet while in their first year of university (college). Maggie, Evvie, and Topher have great chemistry and share a tight bond that not even decades of not speaking can break. Jane Green does a wonderful job of writing about real life troubles and tribulations through characters who are deeply flawed and undeniably human. I definitely recommend this one!
