I feel so chaste? This was a slow burn for the entire novel. I’m usually okay with a slow burn, but this one was a little too long. I a workplace romance that takes place outside of work. It took a while to like the characters, but I didn’t really enjoy the multiple perspectives. The second character’s story wasn’t as developed, even if it had potential.
4.5 stars. I loved the characters, the setting, and the story.

This one honestly didn’t vibe with me the best.
There were definitely some things I enjoyed. I loved the Aussie content.
The side characters Jules & Mitch were honestly more interesting half the time than our main couple. Some of the faith content was nice, and some was just kinda weird to me? I felt like I didn’t get much of any real faith content till the end of the book. Which I enjoyed some of it. But the majority that was sprinkled in was like “funny Bible reference jokes applicable to now” which I didn’t particularly like or felt like it made this book “good christian” necessarily.
Not trying to diss on this author at all. It was an enjoyable read for the most part, a bit slow at parts. I’ve just definitely read more natural and moving faith content in books than this, so it fell a bit flat for me personally.

This story was a charming read. What I found myself loving most was the setting. Having never been down under, I've enjoyed learning the culture through this fun book. This novel was well-written - filled with witty banter and engaging characters. I can't wait for more from this talented author.
Listened to this book as an audiobook and thoroughly enjoyed the chemistry between the characters, the wild setting, the witty banter and insights as well as the personal growth and struggles the characters experienced. Very well written and a true delight to read, one I definitely recommend!
