L'inizio del libro mi ha lasciata confusa in più punti ed è un peccato perchè il resto della storia mi ha tenuta incollata alle pagine.
Un'altra cosa che non mi ha soddisfatta del tutto è stata il modo in cui è stato raccontato il passato dei protagonisti, che mi ha lasciata con diversi dubbi e con la voglia di saperne decisamente di più.
Il modo in cui è nata la storia tra di loro non mi ha convinto molto, ma una volta che la relazione è decollata la chimica tra i due è stata una bomba e il progredire del loro rapporto è stato fantastico.
Avrei voluto più approfondimento sulla parte degli 0micidi e soprattutto sui criteri di scelta di Jack, anche perché alcuni aspetti e alcune loro decisioni non sono stati particolarmente realistici.
Kyrie mi è piaciuta molto, soprattutto il fatto che non sia la solita k1ller psicopatica solitaria e taciturna, ma abbia una personalità solare anche se nasconde un lato più dark e che venga sottolineato il fatto che non sia "nata così", ma questo suo lato sia una una conseguenza di quello che le è successo, in contrapposizione con Jack, il cui lato psicopatico è esistito da sempre.

I think there's something wrong with me - but I'm completely okay with it. I loved this story and the twisted nature of our main characters. I will read any book with these vibes. This is a dark, twisty, spicy serial killer romance so please read responsibly and read the trigger warnings.
This came before Butcher and Blackbird but with the same two serial killers who are in love vibes. If you know, you know, so go ahead and read it. I don't need to say anymore.
I stayed up far too late to finish this book, and it was soooooooo worth the sleep deprivation.
Dr Roth works at College with Dr. Jack and she loathes him…he’s an arrogant ass and beyond aggravating…they both work in the human decomp fields and research it. She and a colleague finds some weird shit happening and reports it. Dr Roth gets an award that dr jack was supposed to give to her and he refuses to be there. She decides to go home with a colleague. Dr jack is snooping and finds that she snuck out and he catches her burying a body in the middle of the night. She was trying to frame him for the murder. They decide they gonna fight to see who stays. Of course they start to fall for each other but she has a tragic past. She was abducted and tortured by the Silent Slayer and then her angel saved her by killing him and she morphed her whole life into trying to be like her angel. Come to find out her angel is mf Jack sorenson. They start getting together and flirting and he figures it out. He collects a certain bone of all his victims and is obsessed with it. He gives her the killers bone. FBI agent comes into things for missing ppl and he’s investigating her. Come to find out that mf was fired and went rogue….she finally admits to jack that she loves him via letter and plans on moving on in her life and the fbi agent abducts her and brings her to her childhood home. Jack saves her yet again.
