The Sinner by Kelsey Clayton is the book that made me a fan of Kelsey. I can't even describe how much in love I am with this book. Like seriously, I couldn't even remember how much I have reread this book for the past year. It was extremely good that I can't help but enjoy every single page of this story. It got me hooked from the beginning till the end that I was able to finish everything in one night.
Let me just say that I'm a sucker for childhood friends to enemies to lovers. All the intensity, sexual tensions, and angst are just *chef kiss*. That's what I truly enjoy about the relationship between Savannah and Grayson. We can truly see their deep connection and how much they love each other until a misunderstanding happens that ended up causing their bonds to be broken. Ngl, the drama in this book definitely won me over. There were parts that are pretty heartwrenching but at least the groveling was done excellently.
Overall, it was a fantastic read for me since Kelsey has done a remarkable job in delivering the story of Grayson and Savannah. The storyline is really engaging and well developed. Not to mention that I love Kelsey's writing style. If you're a fan of new adult romance, then you definitely don't want to miss this. Believe me, this book is totally worth a read.

When I tell you I loved this book SOOO much I literally mean I LOVED this book SOOO much!!
I haven't read a bully romance book since March and for mw that's a long ass time and when I telm you the instant BUZZ and exhilaration I got from reading this book you wouldn't believe it.
Okay we meet Savannah Montgomery, former rich girl who's now poor ass shits and no one from her school knows. She's the most popular girl in school. Then comes in Grayson a boy who used to live here when he was younger and was best friends and fake married to Savannah. He hates her because he thinks she was the reason why her dad went to jail and wanted to get revenge.
Anyways this book was so much FUN!!! UGH I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEIR DYNAMIC SO DAMN MUCH !!!
Also when Grayson knelt down on the floor in front of EVERYONE!?!?!? NAURRR IM SICK WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE MY TURN I WANT SOMEONE TO BE OBSESSED WITH ME!!!
I decided before i go read book 2 I wanna guess all the other couples. Okay we have Carter, Jace, Hayden, Knox, Emma, Delaney, Tessa, Wyatt
Okay KnoxDelaney OR JaceDelaney are GIVING, we already know its HaydenEmma, it HAS to be CarterTessa. Okay so Jace and Wyatt need people and I know Lennon ends up with a guy called Cade who we haven't met yet

The main girl is all TRAGIC and the main guy is all HOT WITH AN AGENDA FOR REVENGE and to be honest I almost quit this book after the first chapter. But it started flowing and while this whole enemies to lovers with a hidden past kinda seemed extreme, it was entertaining enough. Everyone is supposed to be high schoolers which is not my thing but they were all mature af so it was easy enough to continue without too much annoyance. Lot of drama and smut here.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This is my first Kelsey Clayton book and holy wow, I have no words. None. But I am going back and adding all of her previous works to my TBR because she left me completely and utterly speechless.
Grayson and Savannah's story captivated me on a level that totally floored me. They were everything I didn't even know I was missing, but now that I had the chance to read them, I can't imagine not having them on my reading list.
From the very beginning, you're pulled into this story. You hate Grayson from the start because you want Savannah to be okay, especially with the opening we had. The side characters have you just as invested as the main characters. As the story evolves and the plot develops, you feel everything the main characters are feeling.
I'm not even sure what to call this trope, because it's second chance, friends to enemies to lovers, and it is so full of angst that you can't help but feel the tension as you read. You can't put the book down, you can't do the laundry that needs to get done, you can't even think about food because you need the answers and you need them right now.
If you're looking for a book that checks all those boxes, then this is the book for you. I can't wait to see what else comes from Kelsey in this series.
Five stars for this angst-filled read that has you on your knees as you feel every single emotion throughout the entire book.

3,5 stars.
This a bully-romance book and even If I enjoyed it a little, it wasn’t that that that good. I’ve read better. BUT it was interesting enough to kept up late at night wanted to finish it since I had yet to discover the huge secret lmao.
What was really shocking and unexpected?? Yeah, freakin ending. I DIDN’T EXPECT THAT AT ALL. What the actual hell?! Omg, like i felt chills through my body because of the last phrase. Jeezz. I really thought I had Grayson all figured out. I guess I was wrong.
Unfortunately, only the ending gave me chills and all the thrills that a good book is supposed to give me. But I guess it’s my fault since I let a review to talk me into believing that this was an exceptional bully-romance book.

Awesome! Amazing! Perfect! This book had me hooked from the first word! I literally binge read the entire thing in one sitting because I couldn’t let it down! I am so so happy I got an ARC of it because it would have been torcher to wait for it to come out now that I know how amazing it is! First I have read by this author but I’m telling y’all now it will not be the last! A real friends to enemies, so many heartbreaking secrets, a bully romance different from most. I really loved this book & I can’t wait to read #2.
A think a moral of most books is “don’t keep secrets. Just tell the other people what’s really wrong, revenge is not the answer”. I mean at least it is to me lol
Also, this book did not end in a cliffhanger (yay! Because cliffhangers are of the devil). If she, for any reason (but I’m hoping she does because it’s amazing and I want it lol), decides not to write more in this series all your questions are answered beautifully in this book. Thank you for that btw Kelsey! You rock!

felt extremely like an unpublished wattpad story. not a professional book. also extremely cliche and cheesy i cringed so hard throughout the book.
and thats how you do childhood best-friends to enemies to lovers
the only thing they did was have sex ugh, and the dance about the little boy an girl was too cheesy for me
