Simply amazing

Contains spoilers.

I cannot say enough about Cash and Ariana! So much passion in both of them. Devious in their own ways. Once again, Sav has made a masterpiece out of this. The tension. The action. The chemistry between Cash and Ariana was intense and searing. The MY WIFE possession Cash inhabits is incredibly sexy. I don't know which couple I like better now, especially after reading about Cash and Ariana. I love the interactions from the one and only Dr. Kal Anderson. I'm so damn glad Carmen went to hell, where she belongs. The spice was perfect, with a little praise, voyeurism, and degradation. I just want to read the whole thing again!

CHECK TW/CW
I absolutely loved Ariana in this book. I feel like she is written so well for someone that has dealt with some horrific and traumatic things. Her reactions and mannerisms felt very realistic of someone with unresolved trauma. Cash on the other hand, I just couldn't get into him. I know he's written to be standoffish and quite honestly, a bit of an asshole, but it never fully turned around for me with him. The plot of this book carries it well enough to keep from focusing on Cash though. Thankfully it isn't solely a romance and I still ended up enjoying myself while reading it. Is it my favorite in the series, no. But can anyone honestly beat Allistair and Cora?

Well damn. I did not expect Ariana’s story to be so traumatic. Yes we’re in a mafia world, it should be expected that bad things are bound to happen. I was not prepared for this book. I really had to wrap my head around it through all the spice and tension between Ariana and Cash. Because, surely not. My brain coming to a conclusion I was not anticipating. How come I didn’t see it in the first book?! It takes mommy issues to a whole other level. I hated the mum in the first book, but I outright despise her in this one. The ending was anticlimactic - I wanted to seek out revenge for Ariana and Kal. I liked seeing Kal in this one tho, glad he got to get a little justice for himself too. And seeing how he is with his kids. So cute.

Cash. He really was something else. It’s all the public displays of affection in this book - a little cringy but so damn spicy. And the degradation. Going from not knowing how to touch her to straight degradation. Lord. If this book wasn’t so traumatic I’d give it more stars just for Cash. I just can’t get over Carmen and what she did.

AHHHHH STOP THIS SERIES IS SO ADDICTIVE I LITERALLY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO GET ENOUGH OF IT

CASH AND ARIANA WERE SO FUCKING PERFECT TOGETHER I CANT LIKE I WAS LITERALLY ALMOST CRYING AT THE END WHEN THEY FINALLY SAID I LOVE YOU LIKE WHAT THE GRIP THAT THESE TWO HAVE ON ME

Ariana’s childhood was so sad and heartbreaking, but seeing Cash become the person she’s always wanted and needed in her life was so amazing. Watching him stand by her and support her and not give up on her literally had my emotions all over the place. I cannot express how obsessed I am with these two and this book. I also feel like this book was one of the few to really grip me lately, and I love it for that. I’m not on a mission to read Sav’s backlog because I cannot get enough. Also I haven’t read a book this fast in a long time and it felt so good!

I NEED BOOK SIX NOW

“Of course I love you. How could I do anything but?”
